Well what can I say about the weekend. My other half has already said what I wanted to about the bowl, the staff and all the volunteers. Well done on a great job. I have been using my calculator from the show bag since returning to work yesterday. A client was most impressed to know that he was getting a refund of 347 M&M's from the ATO !!!!
I would also like to congratulate the winning teams on a great effort - Colac men, La Trobe ladies and the combined teams of Geelong. Also a special mention to the Ballarat teams for giving it a BLOODY GOOD GO on your home turf.
The conditions were challanging. There was a shot there but you had to find it. To Andrew Craig and Denece Jones, you have my respect for achieving a great average on the weekend.
To my ladies, I would like to say that it was an honour to bowl with you all. You are a great bunch who know how to make the most of it regardless. I was touched that you all had the faith in me to be your captain and I am so proud of each and every one of you. To Sandra, our manager, you are the best !! Your efforts gave us a lift just when we needed it. To our men - just remember you owe us a drink !! Of course not to forget the most important people, our supporters. Having you there spurring us on meant much more than you can imagine.
I would also like to thank our opposition. You are the greatest bunch of people I have ever known. I am so looking forward to next year.
I must also mention as well, to all the people who gave to Scope. I knew there was no way we could beat the Dunn Shield total. With the men and womens teams not being under the roof at the same time, it was going to be difficult to raise that sort of money but we gave it a darn good go. Thank you all for digging into your pockets.
Lastly I would just like to mention to the La Trobe bowler who kissed my butt - you are a braver person than I am !!!!

thankyou to Ballarat for a great weekend my first senior and i hope not my last , it was played in a very freindly way but the will to win is as strong as ever , makes for for a great weekend , Huge Thankyou to Marre , Shannon , Judy , Graham , Peter , the coffee all weekend . needed that to , for a very well run tournament , see you all in Mildura god willing.
