Do we know when the centres have to nominate by at all?

At the moment by our lists on here we have:

3 Mens teams & 2 maybes
5 Ladies teams & 1 maybe

I am sure there will be more teams than that on the day.

I recieved an email yesterday from Ray asking if we can nominate ASAP.

It's only 3 weeks till the event and I'm sure Grant and the guys at Altona would like to know how many lanes are required!

Mildura will not be bowling the repocharge.:(

We wish all the teams that do participate good luck.

Sorry to hear that Lisa & Rob.

I know you guys love to support the events on the calendars.

See you both on Saturday

Hey Steevie

No wonder you didn't want that Emerson shirt - it doesn't know how to bowl:mad:

I barely managed a 400 series with it.:ranting3:

Or it could have been to conditions we got given to us last night. I'm generally not the one to complain but it is the worst I have ever bowled on. Everybody's hands were completely black by the end of the night. On top of that it was about 50 degrees in there !!

Even better odds in the Women - only 6 teams and a couple of them not at full strength.

Looking at the Men's teams - there might only be 7 but there are no easy games.

What is the format going to be -- 1 full round for men and women? That would make it 5 games for Women and 7 for Men (i am guessing the bye will be used as there is an uneven number in the men) Any positional rounds planned?

That also means that a lot of teams have not nominated. We pretty much know the reasons why Mildura, Sale, Morwell and Rosebud aren't nominating -- what about Wodonga, Horsham (women) and Ballarat? Is it cost? distance ? lack of interest? don't feel they have a chance ?

We have a multitude of reasons from work commitments, other bowling commitments plus having the marathon smack in the middle does not help.
We have bowlers that have Rachuig practice the week before.

Down this way we do not mind the travel, it's just that most times we need to take at least one day off work and more times than not two days, all of which sway's our decision on whether to bowl or not.

All the best to those teams that are bowling.

you sure, i class geelong as an easy game:D :D :D
about time to work the spoon some wonders
Yeah - but that is a "given" for you Craig,

Based on what I saw in the Western zone, Melton really need Haysey to bowl or they could struggle.

You guys are very lucky Mildura can't make it (and they probably would have finished first in the women's repechage).

the more i read the more weaknesses i can find, i better stop reading or i might get bored with the whole thing

pffft haysey, the taller they are, the easier they fall

He obviously does not fear the full roller brigade - his last three against us are 279, 235 & 246 (760)

yeah well with a combined rev tally of 10, its more like a confidence booster

and easy goes it with the chair ;)

I would imagine games would be like the eastern zone as we had the same number of teams, 1 x bye for men, 2 x byes for ladies with a total of 7 games. This time I would say no point for positional :D
