How about if we just raise the hand and click the fingers? Is that ok?

Spose just don't call me Gasson. lol

By the way you have to make sure you have my attention, otherwise Woza will spread the word that I am crap!! lol Or maybe you can have DB cards to raise. rofl

Oh and Gary I have plans to experiment with no flash. Not sure if the bowl will be bright enough but we'll see!!

Geez Carmers, you gotta get more sleep..lol,You have come into 2/1 Shepp and Latrobe have gone out to 12/1 and 10/1 respectively because Bendigo has changed the oil pattern to More oil

Wheres my drink :p

wow

i can't believe how soft you all are, if i was doing the odds on individuals

woza, motta, kevvy would have to go out to 20's

seriously, look at yourselves, all looking for an excuse to fail, as for me not bowling, after hearing all this sooky crap, all i got to say is, i wish, cause there looks like theres a few easy opponents out there

as for carrying balls, you would already know i would have enough trouble carrying my own.

LATROBE VALLEY 40/1

i'll do you all a favour, how bout i bring in a big bag of marshmallows, and hand them out to people i think warrant them for being super soft inside

Refresh my memory.

How much practice did we get at Colac.

The decision to not bowl the bye, was made at a TBA meeting, AND has been placed in the rules. That then gives it back to local Management who has said that these lanes will be the emergency lanes for breakdowns.

The decision to practice on lanes 1 and 16 was made by me, endorsed by the BTBA after suggestions from bowlers who would like to be somewhere near the action and see how their team is fairing. To pick lane 1 or 16 would give you that chance.

If I have made a mistake by trying something different and listening to bowlers I apologise.

There has been a lot of people trying their hardest to make this a great competition. If things can be changed on the Friday night meeting, for all to be happy, then GREAT. Pity it could not have been done a month ago when the lane draw and conditions were sent out to all associations.

Well said Dave.

The lane draw is done, the TD & local committee have stated what will be happening with the lanes, so be it.

Have to agree with Chucky as well, a few looking for excuses already and not a ball bowled.

As for the bye, well maybe the VTBA should have asked the bowlers what they would like to do, but alas committee's do as committee's do.;)

To be honest i can't remember. I would imagine it was only at the start of each block and maybe new bowlers coming in each game. Only have 10 lanes so obviously no spare ones for practice. There was so much b..ching about everything else that weekend (and before the event) that i can't remember if people complained about no practice or not (although saying that - i was not part of the tournament committee anyway)

I am not sure that people are looking for reasons to fail. I appreciate that as TD for the tourno you will cop every complaint whether your fault or not - it is hard not to take it personally.

From my point of view i was just asking if there was a valid reason why the bye lanes could not be used by the team not bowling. I am not an official rep of Colac Association and as such was not at the meetings where these things get decided (maybe i should have addressed my question to our Association president rather than posting here). I don't have a problem with not bowling the bye - it is a waste of time. The practice thing should probably be dealt with at the friday night meeting. If it is non negotiable then so be it - but you don't get answers unless you ask questions. Also, the advantage for you is at least you can be prepared for this subject.

This is not going to detract from the greatness of this competition - you only have to look at how many people get on this forum to see how much we love CCup.

Hey Craig

Soft huh,I just saw an opportunity to hang it on you and decided to run with it

To Be Honest I dont Care which ever way this goes as long as we all have to bowl under the same conditions and or Circumstances

And Also the Word Fail Is Not in my Vocabulary

At the end of the day, we all have to bowl on the same conditions and under the same rulings set. Its a different ball game come next week, the mental aspect starts to come into play. Thats what makes or breaks you. Who has what it takes?

This is right Gatsby, and if my memory serves me correct we were only allowed two balls per lane. (That's all that is needed)

Can you get one of your fire breathing team mates to toast them for me ;)

Out to 40/1 another chance to prove the bookie wrong and make some decent cash on the side

Hi all, as for the BYE why not ask your local association as to why they didn't place this on the agenda for the meeting in Feb... Once again the VCTBA had to cancel the meeting I think for the second year straight as there were NO agenda items.... So DON'T blame the VCTBA for this one... It comes back to you guys communicating with YOUR representatives.

We can bet on this? This is now a whole new ball game. Where do we put the cash on?

you have more losses than wins my friend, i think you have succumbed the "F" word a few times, maybe it isn't your fault though, so i will pass some of the blame onto mr kerr and mr rowe as well, so the 3 of you can ponder who has to be blamed for past disappointments

but then again its hard to fail out of the middle of the line up where you hide

watch brave heart, thats the example you need to set, at least woza is at the top, charging with all guns blazing.

but then again, is he weighed down by "the one" ??? who really should be called "the three" another one guilty of hiding in the middle to avoid all the big matches.

i see there's "no more tears" from down the road, obviously the switch from pantene to johnson & johnsons, eased that problem, maybe if they appliy it to their chests instead of vapour rub, they might be able to hold the trophy for a back to back win

have i activated the panic button to all my friends, who may fear being handed a marshmallow in front of their team mates???

could this be the gesture of the tournament???

all of a sudden the most bitched about subject of the tournament has been doused, it will be interesting to see what teams bring up suggestions to change the rules in which we ALL play under, to suit themselves.

must be a week out, cause the HEAT HAS JUST BEEN TURNED UP, and we all know how the saying goes.

final odds posting will go up tomorrow night and theres gonna be some changes

Actually if you go through the records you will see that woz and myself are always changing from pos one to two depending on who is "charging up" at the time. More often than not i have bowled at one taking on most of the best, (check out win/loss ratios on GBs site) not hiding as you say, but put your team up first and i will find you where ever you run boy, You cant hide anywhere when your line up is in first!!
Sorry you wont be in any line ups will you:cool:
BRING EM ALL ON, YOU HAVE MADE ME
See you there people i wont have access to computer till we get to bendigo.

Talk Is Cheap Distraction...You are working it well Craig, but it wont matter

We Are ready We Are Wanting and We Are Coming

kevin, i think you spelt coming wrong ;)

so kev, who's fault is it???

lol jase, see you at emmerson, when your good enough to get there :p

until then look forawrd to heaps of chat during the weekend, and don't forget to bring a shield, then marshmallows can sting if they hit you in the wrong spot
