Hi all, as for the BYE why not ask your local association as to why they didn't place this on the agenda for the meeting in Feb... Once again the VCTBA had to cancel the meeting I think for the second year straight as there were NO agenda items.... So DON'T blame the VCTBA for this one... It comes back to you guys communicating with YOUR representatives.

Last year the Bye was bowled, this year it is not.

A decision made by a committee.

Therefore it must have been set on an agenda and discussed and voted upon.

What's your poison? If your nice to me *cough* I might offer you a drink. lol
I will make it easy for you ;)
To get me in the right frame of mind for the weekend ahead might have to start off with one of these
Oil Slick
Ingredients:
15 ml Black Sambuca
15 ml White Creme de Menthe
Mixing instructions:
Place The Creme de menthe in a shot glass, using a tea spoon carefully float the Black Sambuca on top.

A great night starter. Dont forget that this is a shot so it must go down in one gulp. Feel it oooze.

Has it been decided what the format of the bye round will be?

Will it be 7 points, 4 points or zero points?

(I know that it makes no difference to the final result - i would just like to know what the answer is)

From what I understand it will be 0

Well I could regret sticking my big fat nose into this but from what I believe, this rule was discussed and voted on at the AGM last year, which was in July. I am sure that somebody will be only too happy to let me know if I am wrong.

When we bought up this topic at the manager's meeting at Senior Shield, we were told to go back to our local associations and let them know how we feel about the Bye so they in turn can include it in the agenda for the next VCTBA meeting. I know for a fact that the Sale managers even put this in writing to the Sale association down here as the team got to look at the letter before it was submitted.

So then I ask if Sale did actually take it further on behalf of our bowlers or is the hiccup with the VCTBA?

Yeah I can make that!! You bring the ingredients and suitable glassware and I'll show off my bar skills. They are a bit rusty haven't used them for over four years but I'm sure I can float your sambuca!! lol hmmm I hope that dies without any comments? lol

I don't think it would ooze either. Burn maybe a more appropriate term. Lol

As long as I don't have to drink it!! lol

Hi Rob,
Ask your Association if they placed anything on the AGENDA for the FEB meeting... If they did then why didn't we have the meeting as stated in my earlier post.
Grumpy. I would say that SALE association didn't send anything through for an agend item, you would have to check with your Secretary on this one....
If associations had sent something through then it would have been voted on by ALL associations not just the COMMITTEE of the VCTBA.

See you all in Bendigo

Men's odds are boring - we all know that Bendigo will be unbeatable with Craig "the super coach" Chandler running the show. I've heard they have booked in for a meal on the Monday night to celebrate. Not even planning to bowl the last three games - they will be so far ahead (all tongue in cheek - i am joking!)

How about a real challenge -- what about giving us Womens odds or Overall odds?

Now that Thommo is also on line these days - you are resorting to code so he doesn't know what is going on huh????
