Good Luck Belmo & Walshy

Well done Belmo.....You definitely made a huge impression on the PBA exempt bowlers. Now hurry up and join the PBA, so you can take your place alongside the great professional bowlers.

Congrats to my good friend Belmo, ur result is no surprise and knowing u i know you are probably keen to go the next step forward..in following ur mentor frawls and making a show..dont think it will be too far away.

As for joining the tour.."to be along side the greats"...think u r all ready there my friend and are doing the best thing at the moment...can bowl all the PBA majors and compete for just as much $$ if not more all year round against world class opposition.

Look forward to catching up when u get home.

My hat is off to Belmo for another great showing against the best in the game, and on the toughest conditions (pattern and format) in the game (at least as I've been led to believe). I can't wait to hear from my league buddies on Tuesday night who were super impressed with both Andrew Frawley and Belmo's performances in the Denny's World Championships a few weeks back.

It would be great to hear Belmo's assessment on competing in PBA events versus other big events he plays in. I was always amazed seeing guys shoot 136s and 279s in the same tournament until I started playing ABT events on tough patterns and changing pairs after each game. I'm a 178 average hack and bowled a 154, 212, 211, 135 set a couple of weeks back, but was somewhat consoled watching a 220 average guy on the pair in front of me bowl a 246, 109, 111, 188 set. Aside from finding a line and hitting it consistently its the spare shooting that's a killer (I had a 7 bagger in the 212 and a 5 bagger in the 211 - shows how bad my spare shooting was!) and I watch good bowlers (who have bowled PBA Regional Tour events) at ABT tournaments struggle with spares you'd think they'd get with their eyes closed (even guys throwing plastic balls dead straight and hard).

Actually, it would be good to hear thoughts/tips from others on bowling tough conditions - I guess I should check and see if there is already a thread on this.
