Emerson Shield - 2007

nah mate I was equalized ;)

Seriously, the guy I replaced (Stephen Bairstow) popped his kneecap out actually while bowling a couple of friday nights ago...so i got a run. Bad luck for him but I'm not proud, happy to take the spot. Didnt do us any good in the end though.

"Popped his kneecap out" Haysey -- isn't that what Tonya Harding did to Nancy Kerrigan? :)
In all seriousness you guys were a bit stiff - highest pinfall and finished 6th...

Least I have a whole centre worth of witnesses ;)

But as you know mate...its all about winning the game points. If you cant win them and average through the roof, you dont win.

Thats what makes Emerson the great equaliser. You can average as high as you like, but that win is more important. Most years it is not the highest averaging team that wins the event, but the team that uses thier line ups the best, to get those extra couple of wins every match.

Yesterday's finish was actually quite amazing. It was not beyond the realms of possibility that we could have had a 4 way tie for first. All that needed to happen in the last game was for Colac to win one less point (we won one of the games by two pins so that almost happened) and also for Geelong to win one more point (that would have happened if a Melton bowler had not doubled the tenth).

We finished with most points, but with one game to go even though we were 3 points clear of second - if we had lost 0-7 in the last game we would have finished fifth and Werribee would have finished first -- that's how close it was.

in all seriousness, i reckon my guys did a fabulous job, a few team alterations come the repocharge and i feel we might slip into the main event

also congrats to my good old buddy michael o'keefe on a superb effort

Not like you to get serious Craig.....

You are right - Bowlarama did bowl very well, they just needed one more point in the last game against the bye but could not quite get over the line.

Game 6 when they beat Werribee 6-1 probably went a long way towards Werribee missing top 2.

Looks like some very nice averages over the weekend. :smiley.php:
Would anyone be able to post any detailed stats? :please:
Here you go Shane - Mens results (I don't have the womens sheets yet)

Can anyone help me?

I am looking for the latest version of the "GoldPin Emerson Shield" Rules, policies and/or procedures!!

Can anyone help me, PLEASE?

Let's hope that Bendigo can overcome the "inexperienced" factor and make a good showing. It should be interesting, to say the least.
