Not to many guys that can state from the 3rd frame that they are going to strike out and deliver espically at Morwell;)
Pity that you couldnt deliver the same result 6 months later to get the trophy that has eluded you.:(
That was cheap and nasty shot even by my standards

PS Hows the Chef going - hope you are lookin after her;)

Gary,

2001 All Stars
Dave (Chuck) Berry - EFL
Roger Jones - EFL

2002 All Stars
Mens

First Emerson in 2001 – was held at Mooroolbark (EFL)
Men’s Winners – EFL
Women’s Winners – Werribee
No zone roll offs – just a final – No of Teams competing ??? One round in final or two?
I know that EFL, Werribee and Mentone competed – who else?

2 rounsd, plus position al final

Teams not many, only used 16 lanes at EFL in total

Geelong also competed
I think Warnambool competed as well.

2002 – Zone Finals
Eastern Zone at Rosebud – Rosebud, Mentone and ?????
Western Zone ??
Central Zone ??
Northern Zone??
2002 Final at Shepparton
Men’s Winners – EFL
Women’s Winners – Shepparton
No of teams competing in final - 8?
Men – EFL, Morwell, Werribee – who else?
Women Shep, - who else?

Eastern Zone:
EFL, Werribee, Mentone, Rosebud

8 teams in the final is correct, top 2 from each zone

Finals
Women: EFL & Werribee
Men: Mildura

2003 Zone finals
Eastern Zone – Mooroolbark – EFL, Mentone???
Western Zone ??
Central Zone ??
Northern Zone??
2003 – Final held at Morwell
Men’s Winners – Geelong
Women’s Winners – Morwell
No of teams in final – 8?
Men – Geelong 1st, Morwell 3rd, Werribee – who else
Women – Morwell – who else.
Also can anyone tell me when the defending champs were automatic into following year? Did this happen when zones changed to from 4 to 3 in 2005?
Regards

Eastern Zone
EFL, Werribee, Mentone, Rosebud - EFL & Werribee 1st & 2nd for both mens & ladies, but not sure as which way in the 2 divisions.

8 Teams in the finals - 2 from each zone
Finals - EFL last - our great year as double defending champs - last place

Bairnsdale was supposed to compete in this final, but were replaced by Sale l think, due to the closure of Bairnsdale.

2005 was the first time defending champs got entry into the final directly.
It was part of the zone change, as 3 from each zone, plus defending champs to make the 10.

So this will be in about 14 years I reckon.;)
Rob

14 years time, i'll still throw more ball than woza

need lots of $$$ to plan an early retirement on the murray, although i didn't drag myself half way accross the country for peanuts

Ha Lance you where close it's Jason Newman lol lol lol
How is your arm getting better (hope so) want to see all the good bowlers at Werribee.

Hey Mate,

Arm is up the creek. Really in doubt for the finals, but will see what the docs say. Been put to pasture for another 4 weeks. Hopefully this will be enough time now. Doc's unsure as to exact problem. Really want to compete, as want to keep the run going, in bowling in every state final.

May have to try and takes Porto BLIT tag, maybe, always worth a try:p

Not as silly as it sounds Lance.

We have a really promising junior in Colac that was averaging mid 190's and has got serious problems with his elbow - so much so that he actually may be out for as long as 12 months!

He bowls one league night in a team with his mother and because they were short of bowlers, he decided to have a crack at bowling left handed. His average (a month or so later) is now in the 150's and he has already bowled a 200! He is actually averaging higher with his opposite hand than any other junior that we have is averaging with their proper hand.

Not sure that you would be able to take Porto's BLIT title though Lance - might need to start practicing now...
