Russo had a bad day, ran 8th...I'm very :( about that
I believe a draftee is in the works.
cya soon mate
Sorry to hear that - I think you will miss him - he was very good for you last year.

We had a similar situation at our roll off. Our best bowler (Merv Billing) had a bad last game and also finished 8th. I guess that is just the way it goes at roll offs.

I'm looking forward to August 6th - it's gonna be quiet without Craig but i am sure it will be pretty full on with six teams trying to get into the top three for the final.

See you in a couple of weeks.

Anyone else going to post teams? Melton / Warrnambool / Narre Warren & Morwell (women only men already posted) / Mentone / Rosebud / Sunraysia / Echuca / Wodonga / Horsham / Shepparton ??
Morwell No womens team - you cant draft 6 bowlers can you?

Yes I wasn't happy that I missed our team, oh well that's bowling.
Yes I will be putting myself up for the draft. Western zone would be preferred so I can bowl against Melton but if not then anywhere is fine, I just want to bowl.

You might get a run with Ballarat - they only named 6 men - good luck!

Actually what happens if you do bowl for Ballarat and both Ballarat and Melton make the final and then Melton has one pull out before the final. Would you still be able to bowl for Melton (seeing as though you are first emergency) - or would you have to stay with Ballarat because you bowled in the zone final with them?

(I am sure it is covered in the rules - but i don't have a copy)

Maybe a team of draftees could be fielded -- Merv Billing and Russell Stokely would be a good starting point for a team.

That is disappointing. The winning womens country cup team of 2006(Morwell) - in the process defeating the current Emerson womens title holder from 2005 (Geelong) and no team for Emerson -- what is going on down there Woza?

It would appear that certain decisions that have been made (not necessarily this year but in the past couple of years) have had a major influence on the number of people trialling for Emerson at Morwell

you guys see the dream team, i am so on a roll, look out, a strong finish is in order 6-0 streak for me

although my cox looks in bad shape now

I suppose it is getting close to time for odds for the zones Craig. They usually create a bit of a stir.

Dream Team - Yes i have noticed you quietly sneaking up the leaders board. Need to finish top 4 for the double chance. It is also quite close for a top 8 spot at the moment.

Time to push this up the list.........

I hear a whisper that Emmerson will now also have an oldies section as well. Anybody with details?

Liz
