Counrty Cup 2005

Grumpie

Wouldnt want Geelong or Werribee as the case may be now to get "The Dream zone"

You would have to find some way of ranking all centres and spliting them into different groups IE: like in cricket world cup

ok here we go

TEAM 1 dunn shield first place
TEAM 2 dunn shield second place
TEAM 3 dunn shield third place

TEAM 4 emmerson shield first place
TEAM 5 emmerson shield second place
TEAM 6 emmerson shiled third place

TEAM 7 country cup first place
TEAM 8 country cup second place
TEAM 9 country cup third place

TEAM 10 hmmmmmm had about 20 ideas for this one, so i thought i'd throw it back to the forum

if a team say for example geelong wins emmerson, that would then allow teams 2,3,4 to go thru in the country cup division

now if a centre is generous to give us a decent price, say $4.00

it would cost $360 in lineage fees

say we make the team entry $560

that would throw a nice little $2000 into the kitty, how you split that, well everyone can have some input

i would pay up to $120 ($840), but i am not everyone, but say it was $120, that would bring the prize fund up to $4800

ok thats all for now, i'm getting sick of you all not talking, but i bet a few people are happy i have been quiet

Not bad Chucky

When are you going to find that lady of desire that barracks for Carlton and owns a bowl so we can set this up.

Maybe Team 10 could be the Chucky All Stars

Everyone that made the allstars but their team didnt make the top 3 in all 3 divisions - gotta fit team deano in somehow

Format Could be
Day 1- 9 games - bowl against every centre + positional round
Day 2 - 9 games - bowl against every centre + positional round

All we need know is a name, date and place

Gee you guys have been busy the last couple of days!!!

I had the perfect partner for chucky but as he will not be bowling emerson then I guess he misses out!

These ideas could work but I'm sure we'd all like to see a little bit of feedback from viewers of this post. Finding a weekend suitable may be difficult?

Trust a woman to put a dampner on things

Make a great event for New Years - With the New Years eve after Party

Here is one for for us to think about a bigger version of what chucky said
Take top 5 from emerson, dunn & c cup and add a team of bowlers by invertation only(some of the better bowlers that missed out from the above events)
Split these teams into 4 groups
To make it easier for me ill use codes
eg:D 1 = Dunn shield 1st place
C 4 = Country Cup 4th place Etc
OK here goes
Group 1 D1,E5,C4,C3
Group 2 E1,C5,D4,E3
Group 3 C1,D5,E4,D3
Group 4 Invited Team,D2,C2,E2 (this group better known as the bridesmaids)

Each team in each group bowl each other twice
Now Round 2
Take the two top teams from each group and make 2 groups of four
Eg:Top two from group 1 + 3 makes a group 2+ 4 the other group. Each team in a group bowl each other twice.
Round 3
Take top two from each group and you will have one group of four left.Again each team bowls each other twice.
The grand final will be the top two teams from round 3 and they bowl three games

The reason for every team bowling each other twice is that most teams can bowl 3 games very well but 6 games a bit harder. So the better teams should always finish on top.
Now sit back and think this over and you should see that it should work.

Now for the name of this tourny should be
The WOZACHUCKAGRUMPIE CUP :D :D
Sorry Craig had to change your screen name slightly to make it work
Can you tell im at home not feeling well

No arguments this side of the fence

Well thought out Grumpie

Obviously there is nothing to do down at Sale these Days

Woza
I"m not at work been sick all this week wont be back till Monday then i go to Melbourne on Friday for Walter Deveer at the nationals.I believe Vic can win this year, we will be out there trying.
As for Sale i should get sick more often because the lanes and approches have been recaoted since i've been away. From what i have heard the lanes are holding a lot better and not as much back end.But this is only what i've heard i wont bowl on them untill next week and that will only be once so i realy wont be able to form an opinion on them till after the nationals.

Grumpie

Good luck for Walter Deveer and the Nationals

No doubt talk to you after then

Now getting back to country cup
Sale has its qualifying on now and finals on the last weekend in November. Maybe i'll make this team, maybe not, depends who trys out.If all the top bowlers inthe centre tried out we may finish up with a pritty good team, maybe even make it hard for some of the top teams in country cup. But there is a lot of maybe's in there.    :(   :D :D 8)

Yeah

Our trials are this weekend some come Sunday night I'ii know whether I am bowling for Larobe Valley or sitting on the pine for Chucky's Allstars

Allright here we go

Latrobe Valley held their trials this weekend at the lanes of More. (To use the other 3 lettered word that is usually associated with the centre would be lying)
There would have been more oil on the track of Bathurst than what there was on Saturday.
