Yes it seems we are breeding Manners here, Mick is Ross's brother who has moved to Sale about 9 months ago. Alan J is Ross's son who is now 18 and out of juniors and believe it or not Alan F is Ross's father and is our reserve. If any more move to town it wont be called Sale anymore!!!
As for the ole ole ole you might just find it missing (maybe) the teams maybe more focused on the bowling but enjoying ourselves just as much.
Lyal I think started at Sale then to Latrobe and now at Sale for the last year and a half.

what a weekend

great drinkin weather, and the thermometre out in the pergola, it showed a modest 48 degrees

so we went for drinks early (midday)

then mid arvo the roo boy rings from work (the pub) and invites us up for a few, where rob and i took him up on such a generous offer.

during our 3rd i got sick of deano trying to convince me that sunraysia was going to win country cup, so i went and dropped $50 in a machine and for my good fortune, ripped out a quick $170. at that point we called it stumps at the gateway and headed back to our home strip.

back at home we then got straight back into the liquid, as one feared getting too dry in such heat, as the night went on, the crowd arrived, had a few minor hiccups (the bbq wouldn't light and i was starving), but rob being the excellent technician he is, managed to rectify that crisis.

then later in the night, the rooboy rocked up, luckily for me, with his new fiancee jackie, i must say that his new fiancee, looks more appealing than his old one rhonda.

whilst miss jackie was here, the rooboy was quite sombre, then everything turned for the worse. rooboy took jackie home and then came back for his solo performance. and my oh my what a performance.

the beams flowed quicked than i've ever seen, lisa popped a couple a shots into us, to try and up the tempo, it sure upped the rooboys tempo, he went on and on and on, talk about being an energiser bunny. i don't know how rob does it, i have never seen someone so beautifully use the in one ear out the other method better than rob

but then come the funniest thing, at stumps, the rooboy got up, and i tell ya, i have never seen something so funny standing vertically, 1 step right, 3 steps left, 2 steps forward then 2 back, he was in fine form, starting to slur and losing his bearings

even though the rooboy is excluded from chucky being nice to him for 3 months, the chucky for the first time in ages, decided not to kick a dog while it down

and still i can't win a sportsmanship award (what do i have to do)

then on sunday, rob decided to drop the titanic in the murray, where we took a nice sunday stroll up the murray, which just wrapped up another fantastic weekend in mildura.

As you can see from the reults the boy mastered the longer pattern better than the shorter pattern. Not Bad for someone that has only bowled about 3 games on synthetic before today. :lol:

Finally found a use for that Big Block Diesel Hammer :wink:

Bring on Country Cup and the oil :lol:

Keep practicing those tiddlywinks they might be the only thing that you win :wink:

Good to see a few Country bowlers there and do fairly well.
I found the long oil still a bit on the dry side with my ball still crossing over, it was quite a challange and Woza proved he was upto it, once again well done Woza.
Bring on Country Cup and hope to see a great oiling pattern with good coverage and capable to enduce high scoring.Cant wait for March to see you all.

na, there was oil, the 40 grit sanded, just managed to get some traction
