levi,

i think timmee might be in a case of denial but ofcousre you would if you found out your favourite brand of gear was getting bought out by an even BETTER brand of gear :!:

I'm gonna have to agree with Mickey on this one!!

Brunswick are promising some wicked stuff in their new line :shock: :shock:

Anyone seeing Mickey throw his inferno over the capping in Perth and having it scream back couldnt help but be impressed by it.
We're gona need everything we can get to start catching these storm and track guys.

Catch yas all in Melbourne :) :)

All this talk about Track and Storm and Ebonite and so on......

Wait until you have thrown a Lane 1 ball and then all opinions will change! :D

These things hit like hand grenades!

Check out how they are going in the states for yourself at www.ballreviews.com

Hey Belmo results dont lie

Darwin - Track 1st and 2nd (Andrew threw a Rev master for most of the tournament

Perth - Track 1st and 4th

where was storm????

no where to be seen in Darwin and 5th, 6th, 7th in Perth........

The new Superfreak, Thrash and Crunch are available in Australia in the next week or so. Check out ww.ballreviews.com to see what people are saying about them. I have been waiting for these 3 for ages, cant wait! Especially the THRASH!!!!!!!!!!!

Tracks old school stuff gets it done too. My Elite Pearl,Heat and Coral are 3 of the best balls you'll ever see and hopefully a Blue Triton will be joining them in the next couple of months. If you pulled a late one the other night to see the Womens US open you'll have seen how good the new stuff from the big E is too. I think someone on ballreviews has already nicknamed the V2 strong the 'V TOO strong' it must be an all out big-hooker if its stronger than the particle V2.

You know who owns lane1 dont you? Brunswick

Levithian, I don't think Brunswick do own Lane 1 mate! They share some coverstocks and thats about it. But it really wouldn't worry me who owned them, given the way that they hit!

Danish pastry, Lane 1 are a bowling ball and equipment manufacturer in Syracuse, New York. They are quite big in the USA and are most famous for there Buzzsaw range. All there balls have got a patented diamond core and according to the laws of Physics they create 20% more energy than other bowling balls. They have just arrived in Australia and are currently only in stock at Ipswich Superbowl although you can order them through most pro shops.

Have a look at them for yourself on www.lane1bowling.com or www.ballreviews.com

There are about 8 - 10 people bowling with them already in Australia and everyone i have spoken to is wrapped!

I go past Ipswich 3 days a week...i'll take a look at them RC. I don't know anything about the company or the balls, but I did do Physics and came 3rd in senior High School...so we'll see. I am interested to see them. They sound good though. :)

Yeah sorry to break it to you, Lane1 is now part of the brunswick chain. Brunswick guard the patent for the proactive coverstock like it's the crown jewels (did you know brunswick actually have the patent to the product name proactive). It doesnt mean a great deal really, just sharing of equipment and expertise.

Damn it! no edit function. The line about guarding the proactive coverstock was meant to have, " so i doubt they would give it up easily" after it. Anyway, ive heard it from a few different sources around the place (both people over here and in the states).

Levithian,
I dont know whether you are just stirring people up on here or whether or not you really do think you know what you are talking about!
I can assure you that Lane #1 are not owned by Brunswick but in actual fact they have got access to these supposed crown jewels of Brunswicks, as you would call them.
Lane #1 designs there own balls and has them pumped out in the Brunswick factory. The way i look at it is Lane # 1 has got the best weight block patented and they can share the best cover stocks with Brunswick. It's a win win situation for Lane #1 really because they have got the best of everything. So Levithian i am sorry to break this to you.

So now that i have enlightened you on some facts! Are you just stirring the pot or do you believe what you have been saying.

The post at ebonite was to stir timmee up, the others were not.

So ill say it again, as far as i know

Columbia -> Track -> AMF -> MoRich

Storm -> Dynothane -> Rotogrip

Ebonite -> Hammer

Brunswick -> Lane1

You still seem to think that because another corporate owns a manufacturer that everything will change. All it means is diversifying, look at the track situation, track gained a great coverstock out of it. It doesnt mean brunswick will take over the company and lane1 will now manufacturer brunswick balls, it doesnt work that way. You never enlightened me on any facts, all i said was brunswick own lane1, what is the point in brunswicks manufacturing plant processing lane1 balls if they dont have a business interest in it. Lane1 are direct competition.

if you want more information, throw up a post on alt.sport.bowling, i guarentee there will be plenty of discussion.

hey levi,

it's my job to stir up timmee, but that was brilliant! :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:
