Tenpin Tails Syndicate

Great run tonite equal second and looked to have a great chance for the first prize but got taken wide on the home straight, but really battled on and it was really exciting to see her stretch the hot favourite. Still a little bit cash into the syndicates bank, and slowly building up for us to maybe buy another doggy this year.

After a very well run 2nd last week at Sale the plans are for Stike Alot to run at Sale on Sunday(Race 3 Box 4) and if she does well in this very tough field she will be nominated for Traragon on the following Friday to run a 513 mtr race. She seems to be developing a strong run home and maybe its time for a little more distance. All we can do is give her a go and see what happens but it might take a few races to get into the longer run. As long as she keeps placing she will continue to get starts, she is doing very well for the syndicate and continues to build the bank for us, steady as she goes is better than nothing at all . Another win would be very nice and hopefully that will be very soon but the amount of 2nds she is having is quite a good strike rate and at the odds she keeps paying is putting us well in front even though we dont put a lot on her we are well in front:D :D . Here is hoping for another dog soon for the team;)

Just to let you see what she looks like;) :)

Hi Liz & Grumpie,

Ok folks this time we're of to Traralgon on Friday over the 513mtr. This will be Strike Alots first start in a race this distance, we hope she goes well and is able to develop a run over this distance. So here's hoping :D :) ;)

Friday at Beer O'clock - Have to see if I can sneek out of work early

Gary,

With the field she was in on Sunday, she was expected to finish about 5th. It was just a bit too tough for her capabilities. To her credit though, she got a really bad knock which almost put her out of the race. She is a tough determined little cookie though who never says die.

We are getting a bit fed up though with the box draws as she seems to draw 4 & 5 mostly followed by 3. She has had box 1 and 8 once each time only. Maybe we need to find a forum for TotalGreyhounding so we can have a whinge or two. ;) ;)

Hope to see you Friday Woza.

Liz

Just had a good look at the fields for Friday and well as usual she is the lightest dog in the race coming in at about 25.5kg the next lightest is about 31.2kg. The dog next to her in box 6 is 40kg. This could be a hard task for her if she does't jump well, but she does have the ability to run around the outside of them and she doesn't like being at the back of the field.
Nobody can tell me that these dogs dont know whats going on because when she runs at the tail end of the field, she goes to the trailer after a racing night she just hopes into the trailer and doesn't want a pat, any other time she doesn't mind hanging around for a good run pat. :) :D

40kg Greyhound that is a whole lot of dog - Must have 10kg of steriods in it;)

Heh what's the go didn't run a place i see. Didn't put my hard earned on her though, so what actually happened in the race .

She ran 4th and great effort for her first time over the 513m distance. Her heat was the fasted for the day so effort was good.

As Joe said great effort by Strike Alot for her first run over the 513mtr race and she will be back next week. It is a bit of effort to get the dog ajusted to the longer race and will take a few runs over the distance to get an idea of how she will go. After the last race she is looking pretty good, the race she was in was the fastest time of the night(29.89) any other race(30.26-30.48 winning times) and she would have either won or second(her time around 30 30). Thats just the way it is , maybe we'll get a break with the fields she gets soon:eek:
Gunther

She should be about 10/1 and will have a great chance for a place. With any luck she will be there at the finish................confidence after her good run last week.

Hmmm I might have to make sure that my voice is in good form Friday then:eek:nfire: :eek:nfire:

The outside dog will probably be the favourite
