Out of that list, women would be the only ones that should recieve a start in an adult scratch tournament. Junior, youth and seniors all have their own circuits. We have a choice, if we dont want to bowl adult, then its ok, theres still the junior and youth competitions, where we are more competitive, to bowl in. Women, however, do have that luxury. It's either Open Adult or nothing. As such they should be, if any of them, the ones getting a start. As a junior there is no way I'd ask for a start in a Adult tournament.
Average Cut offs for Bonus pins, or a handicap system is a deffinate No! Either one would theoretically make the tournament a Handicapped event. Also, as different centres have different patterns, it would be impossible to have a fair event. Some centres are easier then others. Meaning a bowler that is not as good as another bowler that competes in a tough centre, may not be eligible for handicap whereas the better bowler is, due to harder conditions is. Both no fault of the bowler, but an unfair advantage at that. A 190 ave cut off for 8 Pins bonus is also unfair. For both the reason above, and that, lets say a tournament is held on the home centres house shot. Lady A aves 191, and Lady B aves 189. Lets say both of them, over the 10 qualifying games both bowl their averages. Lady B, due to her lower average, has 8 pins per game, Lady A doesn't. Lady B gets an extra 60 pins, in comparison to Lady A, for her efforts and cuts. Lady A, who bowled better, misses the cut by a handful of pins and walks away empty handed. Is that fair? No. They either get the bonus, or they don't.
One more thing. Stone Cold, can you please re-write your post so its easier to understand. I'm am struggling to understand the point you are trying to make. Sorry.
