Sale Tenpin Cup 1st $1000 Guaranteed

Craig
George Valaris did a resuface two years ago and thats since the new owner has been here and if you ask your co-worker down there you would also know that the pin decks and kick backs have been worked on since then. You will also find that league averages have made an upward trend and a number of league bowlers averages have gone up 10 to 15 pins including your co-worker's down there before he went to uni in Geelong.Maybe you should come down and have a look ,the centre has changed a lot . We are always open to any constructive ideas you may have. Keeping in mind we pay more notice to people who talk to us not winge and yell . If you wish i can ask the owner to send you a copy of the oil patten if he will. We are looking for some high scores for the tournament and believe this will happen we had a local tounament here and there was a number of 230 plus games scored. As you know we dont have the 200 plus ave bowlers here but we are getting there. :D :D

Sale Cup

What difference does it make when and if the lanes where re-surfaced.
You should be able to bowl on any conditions. In fact I will give some fair odds on you :
100/1 making the cut at Sale Cup
1/10 you not turning up for Sale Cup.
After watching you bowl on your home lanes during the Vic Championships I think that several teams in Emerson Shield will blow you away. But thats another story for another time...............

In reality I think Sale management should be congratulated for trying to give you the bowlers another event to bowl in, and not really that expensive either. And how many tournaments will guarantee $1000.00 for 1st prize................not too many..........so regardless what lane conditions they finish up putting down the fact of the matter is that they are trying to give all of us bowlers another event at a budget entry fee.
It would be nice if some of our State team bowlers had a go as it would give all our country bowlers a chance to compare themselves against the best in the state at the moment.

Anyone wishing to put entries in we will be at Forest Hill from 9am to 11:30 am aprox on Saturday 3/7 . With Walter De Veer team for practice. Save the late mail if you wish.

you make me laugh joe

your only trying to encourage me, i know you are

first of all, when i was bowling in the masters on the sunday, i didn't see too many of you stirrers out on the lanes with me :p

i'll be serious, the only reason why i asked to why the lanes have been recoated, is that i have accute elbow problems now, and find i near cripple myself if i really have to force the ball over bad heads, as well as i did on my last 2 trips to morwell, the body doesn't pull up as well now as it used to.

this tends to make me a bit more selective to where i go or what i bowl in.

i posed my question to ross, as i like to be informed first hand, and not get an opinion second hand, which i would have recieved off luke.

i know with your dealings with kegel, the pattern will be more than acceptable, especially with a phoenix machine, but if the surface isn't acceptable under the oil, it don't matter what you lay, it isn't going to hang around.

i had made several trips down to the sale cup in the past, it used to be one of the better stops, on the ATBA calendar, but upon my last visit to country cup in 96, i found the place nothing short of a joke, and know that the bowl could only go in one direction after the last management, which was forward.

p.s no need to whinge and yell, it gets you no where, the only way to protest against people who are closed minded, is with yyour wallet, if you don't like it, you don't pull it out of your back pocket

i encourage everyone to head down to sale next weekend, whether i do or don't show, i wish the tournament great success, and the bowlers too, even you joe

Thanks heaps.
Could you also put Andrew Jacklin in C squad as well cause at this stage he is going to bowl thanks.
Unsure due to work but will let you no.

Hi guys heard some rumours this morning that Chandler is bowling in the sale Cup........Congrats I believe that makes it 50 plus bowlers who will be competing.........what a great effort from Grumpy at Sale Bowl. I guess what we need now is a medical person to be on standby for Craig.......poor old fellow ..........body falling apart..........must be all that rich living in QLD that he did before coming back to Vic to retire gracefully.............. All jokes aside good to see you bowl Chucky...........Notice Andrew jacklin in the field as well another Golden Oldie.................Little murmur that young Doug Bear might be bowling......that would be great as he was truly one of the greats to watch several years ago.......and Alan Notman making the trip as well...
It almost seems like the old VCBA tournament scence...............Looking forward to catching up with all of you next weekend....................................

isn't it how amazing it is, when you say something can't be done

if i had have jumped on here and given even money on sale getting 50 starters, everyone would have laughed at me

and everyone goes out to prove me wrong, i am lovin it

ross do i get a cut or a beer for doubling your tournament numbers in a week

gees i should have had a dollar with joe on me bowling, and another for me making the cut, would have recouped the money on the odds i gave sale for getting 50 starters

well done guys, looking forward to what might be the start of something really good

when i got more hair on my chin than i got on my head, then i'll think about retirement

Hey Craig i'll buy you a beer but you might want to ask Luke who Grumpy realy is !!!!??????? :) :)

Hi Grumpie, Just wondering if you got my e-mailed entry form..

Joe, i can't wait to get up there and have a bowl.. sale was on of the better tournments going around 8 or so years ago..

everybody was always looking forward to bowling there..

hopefully this will be the start of something good for sale bowl..

Yes the weekend at Sale was always good, Just like the old Morwell Tournament as well. What I think is great is that the bowlers will enjoy a good tournament and weekend away with a little bit of socialising thrown in as well. All makes for a weekend of fun. You never know Craig might throw open the bar in his motel room and that would really make the weekend.

By the way Craig more or less is not important at your age.

Where are all the women bowlers.........??????????
