Rate your centres cafeteria

Well the time has come to say this. I have had it with Mt Gravatt's cafeteria. Week after week the same thing happens. I am sick of the poor service. The first senario.... you go to buy a drink and you stand waiting for someone to serve you. After standing at the counter waiting and waiting to be acknowledged you end up leaving as your team is now waiting for you to bowl. Then you go back to the counter to stand in a line again. The second senario..... 2 staff members on duty, five customers standing in line with only one staff member serving.... where is the other staff member...well she is mopping the floor or washing dishes.....surely if they are that busy maybe there needs to be more staff. Surely with 90 bowlers at one time in the centre they must be able to afford to employ one more junior to help.... and not forgetting the prices that are charged at these cafeterias.
My last word on this..... Mt Gravatt pick up your act and buy a buzzer for the counter!!!!!!!!! At least that would be a start,.

Moonah's cafeteria seems to be ok, sure you have to wait but its never fofr too long, only thing i would have to say is the prices are rather high...i mean $3 for a 600ml drink, you could go to the suppermarket and buy 3 1.25L bottles for less then $3, but i supose its all to make you buy the postmix which costs the center less to make.

thats my 1.5cents worth (couldnt afford to give you 2 cents worth due to high cafe prices)

Hi Soxy and Roxy - Sorry to read your disappointment with the service from the cafe at Mt Gravatt. I believe together we can resolve these type of issues of concern to reach an amicable solution. It would assist me greatly in the future if you could let the Duty Manager aware of any problems or issues you perceive as being warranted for me to know about. I'm concluding that you bowl on a Thursday night as your post was dated Fri 6th, if this is the case I would like to assure you that this issue of yours will be addressed today (Fri 6th). If you have any further issues or concerns and wish to speak with me direct please phone the centre. If for some reason I am unavailable to take your call please leave a name and phone number and I will return your call in the first instance.

The service and the food at Illawarra Strikezone is impeccable!!

Always plenty of staff around the cafe, the wait to be served is usually non-existant but sometimes they do get rather busy. All orders come with a radio type device...and when the order is ready it starts beeping and vibrating, letting you know your order is ready to be picked up!

Then the food itself is amazing, in no other bowling alley that i've been to in Australia has the food even come close to the quality you get at Strikezone!!!

10/10 for Strikezone!

I love eating at Strikezone. The food is awesome and the service is usually great. As Macca said yeah we get busy, but the staff do their best at all times to make sure everyone is served asap. Nationals was a great example of this and as far as I know the majority of, if not ALL the people who ate at the bowl were happy with the food and sevices provided by this wondeful place.
Im not saying any of this just coz Im staff, Im saying it because its true.

Well i'm a bowler at mtgravatt and i agree with soxy_roxy the service at that particualr cafe has been slow at the best of times.I have made mention of this to a few staff members over an extended period.When we are paying a premium price for all food and drinks that the cafe provide i would also expect the service to reflect this cost, but unfortunately this is not the case at this cafe.I'm glad to see such a quick response from the centre and hope that it fixes an ongoing problem for the league bowlers

no way macca chermside hyperbowl is teh best food and teh best service the food maybe a bit exspencive but it si so filling and always comes with a smile and tastes awsome

have u ever been 2 strikezone? im so agreeing with macca...of all the centres ive ever been to it rates well above the rest. i feel so satisfied and very well fed after all meals at strikezone...and the prices are reasonable! (yes, even without staff discount!! )

Kool well i havnt been to many centres yet but one that comes to mind thats had the best food i have been to is bennets green in newcastle so polite an everything then we got penrith they aint to bad food is good depends who cooks it blacktown i would say is very good service an good cooks

Of all the bowling alley cafe's ive been too, I don't really know which is the best. I can't include Strikezone here because its more of a Restuarant then a cafe. Matti, you got chef? yeah mate, so do we, infatc our head is leaving us for now for major job in sydney.... the foods awesome, and its more then just your average Hot Dog and Chips.
The Chicken Snitznel Salad is awesome I hear, as well as the seafood.
No centre I've been to compares with whats on offer at Strikezone.

The cafe at Fairlanes here in WA is pretty good. I cant fault it.

The service is quick, the food is good and its not too expensive.

Strikezone is awesome too. The food was gourmet to say the least, and the service was good too.

I must say that i'm a bit biased in the fact that i think the cafe at box hill bowl runs pretty well!...... owing to the fact that i run the cafe! :lol:

I know that my staff and i try our hardest to give quick, quality service...... I will agree with CO$HEA in that with some things the prices are a bit excessive. but we can't forget that AMF set the prices for all the centres in Australia not each individual centre!

I will also agree that Strikezone's Cafe is one of the best that I have been to..... well run, good service, good food and good prices!
