POMS!!!!!!!!!!

AdrianS

This is the future!!!
Up the mighty Poms!!! Wish some of those guys had been in the bloody test team it might have been interesting!!!

Go the POMS!!! at the world cup(and Canada featuring the immortal Johnny Davison!!)

The soap-dodgers deserved it.
Australians arrogance came back to bite them in the arse.

I don't like Australia's chances in the World Cup with that bowling attack.

Barmy Army!

GO ENGLAND!!!!!!
What a gutsy effort to win the ODI Series 2-0 and end what would've been a complete and utterly horrid tour on the highest of notes! Paul Collingwood was absolute masterclass with the bat and in the field. Freddie Flintoff showed a lot of heart and the team displayed guts to beat Australia 3 times in a row to take the trophy! I wonder if this has ever been done against Australia before in a triangular ODI series? :-k It's always nice to see England prove all the doubters and haters wrong for a change. The bookmakers had them at ridiculous odds to take the series. International limited overs cricket is alive and well again. Bring on the World Cup!
PARTY TIME BARMY ARMY!!!!!!

It's no surprise that the poms won the series. I had a unique chance to bowl to them in the nets at the gabba last week. Collingwood was un stoppable in the nets, his form showed great technique, as did Strauss. Plunkett and Mahmood were bowling sharp. It looked like they had some thing to fight for.
Well done England on there victory. Its the loss Australia needs to win the World cup

Well done England. Your win was good for cricket.

Just hope that Roy is fit for the World Cup and that the selectors look at putting Gilly back down the order to fit in with the sloggers and put Hussey at opener. And we need Clark back in the bowling attack. No need for a spinner in the Windies either.

Cheers

England played good solid cricket, Australia made some crucial mistakes, and England took advantage of the lives it was given - that's sport.

Well done England.

I would leave Gilchrist as opener. He gets us off to a flyer and when he is in, you won't get him out easily.. And he'll probably have scored 60+ by the time you do..

I certainly would be taking a spinner to the West Indies.. they are expected to be reasonably slow wickets. I think Cameron White should be left at home, and Brad Hogg and Stuart MacGill should go.

Hayden
Gilchrist
Ponting
Symonds
Clarke
Hussey
Watson
Hogg
Lee
Clark
McGrath

that would be my starting XI

Agree with sending a couple of spinners over, but I'm tossing up between Hogg and White for the reserve - I'd let 'em duke it out at the Chappell-Hadlee trophy and see who gets in first, and MacGill should be in the starting XI as spinner.

I reckon that was definitely the reason England won -- esp on Friday when Australia was coasting - they never gave up..

I don't think Symonds will play at all in the world cup and that will make a big difference to our middle order. McGill won't go - he can't bat, slow in the field and does not have enough control to bowl tightly in one day games. He is a wicket taker but he won't go. Hogg should be the spinner.
