Hypercell = Hyperhook!
The new release by Lane 1 looked impressive weekend, Trots changing to it today to storm home for 3rd place in the Canberra Open. The new Lane 1 "Xception 5.0" certainly did the job. Congratulations on your finish ;)

Of course the 5.0 was crap Max, you would know..... It says a lot for Lane 1 equipment it makes a mockery of bowlers supporting the people who support them. It's your team I guess, have fun

Excuse my blondeness, and my unfamiliarity with the other brands but wasn't there another ball out with a name similar to that? Don't the ball companies have copyright over the names? I remember there was a thing when Ebonite released the double xl or whatever it was called, as it was very similar to the lane #1xxxl.

it shore did look good he stormed home.. maybe i can see him changing back to his old gear

I really didnt want to get out of context, it was merely a joke about Trots using a Track ball today whilst wearing his BBA Lane 1 shirt and throwing Lane 1 the previous day (and not scoring as high). Why Max decided to critisise another manufacturer I'll never know.....

Trots made a tough decision today, one that ultimately made him more money then he would have anticipated. I'm not saying Lane #1 is bad either, it just didnt match up to Trots style and lane condition he was faced with.

It raises questions about sponsored bowlers and their sponsor arrangements but thats purely up to them to work out. Some people on here just need to lighten up!

To clarify how it all came about..........

Trotts & I spoke last week about this issue. At the moment he is not quite comfortable with some of his Lane #1 gear and he feels there is a bit of a gap in his arsenal, and asked if I would mind if he used some of his old gear over the weekend as he wanted to be competitive.

As Paul is sponsored by BBA and not Lane #1, it was a no brainer as far as I was concerned, naturally we want our staffers to be comfortable and confident in what they are doing.

My response was half tongue in cheek, but it doesn't raise any question about sponsored bowlers & their arrangements as far as BBA is concerned at all.
