I bowled at Redcliffe the other night and was genuinely shocked to find that there was actually some oil there.
The last time I bowled there they ran the oiling machine over the lanes 5 mins before we started bowling and there was nothing there.
You can imagine how shocked I was cant you....

Anyways... Im looking forward to bowling this tournament and in the spirit of arguing, Graden City Lanes is gonna win!

i remember the first time i went there there was oil for the first game and half.

Jodee, there is a big difference to no oil and big backends, as i told u tonight, u just need to know what lines to shoot! Redcliffe aint that bad, they have been puttin down more oil lately, which is always a good thing. But hey, u cant expect every centre to be as easy as the rest, cough cough caboolture.
Ow well, good luck to all!
Hamish

i have to agree with hamish there, theres a huge differnce to flying backends and dry lanes all together.

luke green

Yeah, Hamish has a good point. Big backends are entirely different to plain old dry lanes! If you know what lines to play then you will do ok I guess, but I suppose sometimes the right line isnt very obvious...

Oh well, Practice makes Perfect.
Thats the reason Garden City is gonna be winning, we are PERFECTION! :D :p

Whats wrong with the pattern Kirsten? nothing wrong with it if u ask me, just makes people hit their targets to get strikes, rather and throwing the ball right and it still coming back. Its a challenging condition, which is definatly what we all need, not a condition that people can easily bowl 200 averages on.
Just my thoughts, Hamish

From what I could tell there was nothing wrong with the condition I bowled on last weekend at Redcliffe. I was quite happy with it, much more challenging to throwing it right and hoping for the best...

Was that supposed to be sarcasm Hamish??

I guess u could say im the junior spokesperson jason, ive spoken to Darren quite a bit about this tournament, so i would probably know the most about it apart from darren himself. And yes adam, it was!

Talk about big noting yourself Hamish.
I guess it is kinda like asking everyone at Grace's party for a kiss

Hamish
Congratulations on the good work you are doing in promoting this tourney. I don't call it "big noting yourself". Keep it going young man, your heart is definitely in the right place and the Kup is in honour of a great man in Ken Mills.

You get my thumbs up buddy.

Feral

Sorry matt, it was either u or ur sister, but hey, i dont really care! no need to bring in other comments about partys matt/rebecca, this is about the Ken Mills cup, not about social lives, so lets stick to the topic. And thanks feral, Mr. Mills is a great guy, and i couldnt have thought of a better person to name it after, great thinking my Darren. If anyone wants to discuss other business, pm me or u have my msn, no need to get off topic.
Good luck to all at the nationals, and good luck in the future, Hamish.

Well done Hamish, you've definately put your heart into this tournament & myself & Brad sincerly hope it goes off a HUGE success. It will be wonderful to see this tournament as a regular on the calendar as Ken absolutely deserves the respect & admiration he has so rightfully earned throughout the years. He is a lovely man with a kind & generous heart, he would do anything for anyone. He has also been extremely dedicated to the juniors & their efforts over the years & I have had the fortune to be one of the juniors he took under his wing as far back as 1988. It was fabulous having him as a coach & we all had awesome times at Swinging Singles & pool parties at the Mill's house.

Anyway enough getting soppy & keep up the good work Hamish, you should be proud ;)

Congratulations to Ken for having a tournament named in his honour (finally)

Fond regards
Rachel Spicer

Good onya Hamish, youv'e done a good job trying to get numbers up for a worthwhile event mate!

Maybe Matt/Rebecca are just a little cranky that you never asked them for a kiss? ;)
