How many registered bowlers per state?

www.bowl.com in America have released membership figures detailing how many bowlers each state has.

"American Bowling Congress, Women’s International Bowling Congress and Young American Bowling Alliance membership totaled 3,245,873 in the 2002-03 season, the organizations have announced. That represents a four percent decrease from the combined 3,382,507 in the 2001-02 season. "

I wouldn't mind finding out how Australian States compare. Can anyone from TBA reply? TBA's website says there is now more than 100,000 registered bowlers in Australia where are they?

I don't think that the TBA has the accurate numbers of registered bowlers. Since the TBA has no members, and has passed the responsibility of registering bowlers onto the local groups, it's really up to the individual centres/associations to send the figures to the TBA...I seriously doubt that all the numbers have been recorded at the TBA headquarters.

Hobart TBA (Moonah) has about 500 registered players according to those in the know.
Certainly a far cry from 1992 when there were 1577 registered players in the South alone (Moonah & Mornington)
As for LTBA (Launceston) and Devonport and Burnie - no idea sorry.
