fav bowling centres

Moonah obviously because it's my home centre but I like playing away, I liked quite a few of the centres I played at on the mainland such Cannon Hill, Townsville Superbowl, Clayfield and Melville when I played there.
The old Mornington Tenpin was another favourite of mine when it was still around.
I bowled a Nationals there in '94 I think, great centre, I loved the bar they had set up in that little room in the underneath carpark back then.
Sunk too much piss that year....

I bowled my first nationals there in 1990 bowling off a 115 average bowling in my first squad at 10pm shot my first ever 500 series.

Junior Nationals were the best, i remember the 1995 nationals at clayfield we couldnt bowl because were too old, but we went to last day of the shield and the dinner dance, oh oh what a big night that was.

The old shield dinner was the best part of the nationals, the under 18s were never supposed to drink at them but some how we all did

Actually that was my first Nationals as well, I remember bowling the opening squad on the Friday at about 3 o'clock. I was nervous as hell, there were so many people there watching.
Bowled with the Smith brothers and Nifty Nev Lord all from down the Huon.
We all bowled like crap.
Did a couple of the 10pm squads after that from memory. That was a great fortnight. Tassie boys won Shield that year.
That was the last time Shield was in Tassie.

Oh shit yes. I went to two of them and had an absolute ball both times.
Sank a crapload of piss and had lotsa fun with lotsa ladies and had plenty of laughs and met some wonderful people along the way.
Great, uncomplicated fun - the way it should be.
My most enjoyable time in bowling still.

My fave centre has to be Chester Hill and also i really like bowling at belconnen as i bowled there for classic cup and absolutley had a ball and did well at nationals. Came Second
