Emerson Shield - 2007

expecting some improvement from you this year lance. Remember you actually need to look at yor team more than once for the year :p

you were pathetic last year lance, even taafie beat you, and he spent most of the year introducing western australia to his scar

improvement is neccesary, we try to uphold a standard around here you know ;)

you were pathetic last year lance, )

yeap, cant disagree, the problem was, l was in 5 leagues, and was never sure which one l had updated, and then it was to late to worry about.

we try to uphold a standard around here you know ;)

since when?

I promise, this year will be better, only league l am in, surely l cannot stuff up and forget.....well to often anyway

Qualifying for Narre will be on 25/04/2007 - over 8 games.

Would be interested to know how the other centres are holding their qualifying?

Shane,

I think Narre are way ahead of the centres in the team trials. As most zone finals are not till late june / early july, they may hold them a little, but wont be far away.

Northern zone roll off is early Aug. Shepp uses the country cup trial as the emerson trial as well so we just take our country cup team. So no extra trialling for us.

Just curious as to the position of EFL bowling in Emerson.
If the center is closing at the end of June does this mean EFL can't bowl because if they make the final there won't be a team ?

I would just like to say that EFL is "NOT CLOSING" at the end of June. Also EFL will field a Male & Female team in the Zone final and will also bowl in the Finals at Geelong if either team makes it thru the Zone. Currently our qualifying is well under way and for those interested "Crusty" is one of the top qualifyers at the moment.

They bowled against each other last night and "Crusty" came out on top 2-1 with "Stevie" 100 pins down at the end of the match. I have never seen Tothie so quite and I am sure he is planning his revenge in the Zone finals.
EFL top 7 qualifyers at the moment are:
1.Paul McKewin (he will surprise a few)
2.Ray "Crusty" Mischler (potential Captain)
3.The Phantom (secret weapon)
4.Wes Cooke (has come back stronger)
5.Brenton Bull ( will prove the find of this team)
6.Geoff Jones ( can handle any conditions)
7.Sean Gothe ( will make sure Crusty wins all his games)

Reserves:
Joe Tomasinski (struggling to catch Crusty)
Matthew Crocker (Cursty's Coach and mentor)
Craig Tomasinski (nice to see another Thommo on the rise)

Qualifying finishes at the end of April so our current team looks almost set to compete against the best the Eastern Zone has to offer.

While the boys will be spilling crap over their egos in the zone finals the gals will get down to having some damm good fun and perhaps bowling well as well:)

Mentone teams have been finalised:
Mens....
Michael Wilson
Lee Phillips
Chris Mesagno
Erwin Andres
Doug Bear
Hugh Livingstone
Charlie Nagle

Ladies....
Gwen Arundell
Yuri Saito
Maree Smith
Noelene Davies
Kerry Butler
Jeanette Kent
Alicia Manton

As our zone final is only just over a month away, I thought I would bring this back up to the top.

Also to confirm that Sale is fielding a men's and a ladies team - after all we need to make sure that we bowl at EFL before the relocation........

Liz

A couple of changes to the Mentone Ladies Team:

Out :
Maree Smith
Kerry Butler

In :
Megan Hogg
Petroula Kosmidis

Have any other teams been finalised yet? Noticed that EFL qualifying finished end of April, where are your teams? Or are they a secret??
