Craig sometimes you have to encourage bowlers and not always put them down. Look at "Tonks" these days he feels like everyone is against him. That's why my post was pulled.......but you have to admit there are a lot more youngsters coming thru in Emerson shield and I think it is great. Next year Goldpin will hold the first Senior Shield at Bendigo and that will make for interesting reading.

paul kerr, dave farq, lance if he ain't travelling well can also be a good target, who cares if he's in your team, you got another 5 players who can make up for that, merv loves a chat, come to think of it so does peter bonning

you being a centre manager would have to say that before i hyped the emerson shield in 2004, this tournament was a minnow

now it and country cup rule this site and are healthier now than they have ever been

you mention tonx, the difference between what i do and what tonx does is simple, when i cop it back and i get it good at times, i just have a chuckle, when it happens to tonx, he send you a nasty pm threatening to punch your head in or in georges case he questions your sexuality.

this is walking, talking promotion, whether it be truth or fiction is irrellevant, it makes people want to bowl, and more interested in improving their games and if i could ever want 1 thing in victoria, it would be for these 2 events and dunn shield to merge and have a super teams competition.

so much is said in jest, so much of it isn't even true, i know the first year i did the odds, i think i knew maybe 8 of the 56 players in the tournament, i just guessed it all up. sometimes i get an sms or an email at some stupid time of the morning saying hey, this happened to so and so, and you got to take the pi$$ out of it, so i do, and sure enough, many have a laugh about it.

and if i am so blind to see this forum is doing damage to the sport, then i will make this my last post on these subjects.

What would make me even more happier is if we postpone Emerson till the Tuesday or Wednesday just so I can go to the beach this weekend and an important party... anyone else up for that? Don't worry about work either just don't turn up how important can it be, seriously?
