Desperado squad at Masters Challenge

Yes Graham, I have just read the post by Gunny at 640. He mentions not having a discussion with Peter. Why mention Peter in particular. Didn't mention if he had a discussion with a staff member of the bowl did he?

Of course you can have your opinion, but let other's express theirs as well. There would be no way of winning an argument with you, after all you are the "moderator" and will always have the last say!

Gee sorry Russell I am only human and we do occasionally make mistakes...  no need to get nasty about it, I obviously didn't read that part properly but if you look at my signature you may understand why I made the mistake..ha ha

So ...

Are we all agreed that Russell should have been able to bowl in the Desperado Squad? He had registered, and turned up before the alloted time of the roll off. The organisers obviously moved the time of the squad forward without notifying everyone who was eligible to bowl in it.

I think that is all of the facts here needed to form an opinion.

It's unfortunate, but if it's not brought up in a forum like this, the organisers of other tournaments won't learn from the mistakes made by others.

OK this is my opinion.

Gunny should have been allowed to bowl. He arrived prior to the advertised check in time.

The tournament was great, and well run.

looking at your scores from this afternoon's qualifying, the centre manager has done you a favour and has saved you possibly $125.00. You should ring up the manager and thank him.

What you don't realise is that we have known Gunny for the good part of 10 years and he would take this in the jovial manner in that it was intended. He even hinted to this in his second post.

If you want to stay anonymous, you wouldn't have displayed your email address to the world.

I need new glasses, show me where??? Very few on this thread are showing their email address, possibly to avoid ever growing spam email.

Yes, Gunny should have been allowed to bowl, it wouldn't have taken much to have another squad. I'm sure that the TD will make amends next time they have an ale together.

This thread has been blown out of all proportion, so let's end it with a well done to Trots for winning the 2005 Masters Challenge.

Also congrats to Doug Bear for his 300 game and therefore taking home my housekeeping money for this week. LOL. Thanks for the forced diet.

All prize funds were paid out yesterday and as advertised on the entry form.

I'm looking forward to a bigger and better 2006 Masters Challenge.

The only thing I have found funny about this whole incident Bugs, is your comments from your last post. I found no happiness being turned away from the bowl, I found no humour in your original post and I find no apology in your latest post.

Since you think we have been friends for so long, maybe you could have called me to share the laughs. Mayby you forgot my number!

I would like to take the time to thank Graham for his comments and all others that showed integrity with their opinions.

I am happy to end this discussion but will not forget as easily.
