just been looking at the averages from last year.

62 bowlers.

35 averaged over 200. more than 50% of the field

of these 35 bowlers

15 bowlers averaged between 200 & 210

9 bowlers avaraged between 210 & 220

6 bowlers averaged over 220

These averages show that perhaps the handicap scale might need to be increased to at least 70% of 210, which would mean that still 25% of the field would be averaging more than the handicap basis point.

just thoughts.

The Plasma TV along with some other raffle prozes are on display at the bowl now, until after the marathon is completed.

This is a great way to get a large screen plasma for your home. Just think for say $50 (30 tickets) you could have a this plasma on your wall at home. A nice cheap way to get one.

As far as l am aware it is the house pattern. I dont think that any special pattern has been requested by the TD this year.

OK,

so i stuffed up my figures.

it should be 20 bowlers averaged between 200 & 210.

theres the extra 5 bowlers...

I still say the handicap should be increased, as more than half the field average above the handicap cut off point, and maybe the bonus points need to be looked at as well, as a hogh number of bowlers are averaging above the 1st bonus point, giving those teams an advantage.

And whilst im asking questions, does "check in 11:15am" mean starts then, or you have to be checked in by then. Im leaving Bendigo at 8:30am, so hopefully should get there around 11, but that all depends on traffic and roadworks...
