AMF Dandenong is proud to announce the hosting of the 2010 ANZAC Day 60 game Marathon.

When: Saturday April 24th until completion Sunday 25th April(Approx 24 hours later)
Time: 11:15am check-in
Entry Fee: $480 per team
Where: AMF Dandenong
Handicap: 70% of 200
Gauranteed $50:00 Skins per game (High game with handicap)
Prizefund: Based on 28 teams

Format:
For those of you who are familiar with the Mildura 60 Game Marathon, this tournament has been modeled on that very successful format.

4 teams per pair, 12 blocks of 5 games, Points awarded per game, Bonus points for scores 200+ with Hcp, Series points.

You can have 2 or 3 bowlers in your team who must all bowl equal games through the course of the event, but in 5 game blocks.

That ANZAC day MARATHON at Dandenong bowl will be going ahead on the
24 th April with a minimum of $40.00 per game up for grabs !!!!
This tournament is handicapped and can be bowled in teams of 2 or 3 bowlers.

C'mon guys!!!! Less than two weeks to go and we still need teams. The more teams we have the more prize money up for grabs!!! You can bowl in a team of 2 or 3, and I know there are people interested but they just dont have other bowlers to team with. Spread the Word!!!!!

so were is everyone this year......

I see a lot of missing names from the last couple of years......

If bowlers dont support this event, it will be another one that dissappears from the calendar.

If you feel changes are required to make it more interesting, viable, and something you want to bowl in, thne post those ideas.

Everything can be takin into account to make the event better each and every year.

Have been wondering if the perhaps some changes need to be made to the following:

Handicap system
Skins money
Points system

With the handicap system, was thinking instead of 70% of 200, perhaps 70% of 220 or 210.

Average of 190

70% of 200 = 7
70% of 210 = 14
70% of 220 = 21

With dandy havin a high average for bowlers, perhaps it is time to look at increasing the handicap basis to intice the lower average bowlers to bowl.

Also perhaps the skins.... this could be split in half. Scratch and handicap. The same bowler can not win both, so this makes 120 skins available for the event.

Just some thoughts.
