Is it true that Belconnen Bowl has a sign stating that players use their own equipment at their own risk?

my centre (mentone) has one... just a tiny little sign above the entrance.
but they still fix balls that are damaged so they must have forgotten about it??

I'd be interested to know how many they fix in a month compared to Belconnen... I hear lots of bad news from there.

It says (reportedly in letters just barely legible from the front counter);

"All Patrons Please Note - AMF is under no obligation to repair or replace any bowling equipment damaged in this bowling centre in any way. Use of all bowling equipment is at your own risk."

Smells of bush-lawyer legal-ese to me.

Do you think it would stand up in the small claims tribunal?

I think their own equipment must be covered under that rule...pinsetters included LOL the amoount of scratches that our balls came back with was really bad, but the bad gouges were fixed by them no probs.

If Belconnen wanted to fix up all the balls that got damaged there they would need to hire a few more staff to keep up.
