My first was a 666 series, which ended in a 265 game against Brendan Hanton and Drew Russell's team at (the old) Northcote lanes. Both good old Belly and (probably the 'older') Lindsey Barratt didn't show up that night and left me posted, so I was stuck handling Brendon and Drew both on my own. At a 170 average at the time, I was a little intimidated, but for some reason everything seemed to work that night
A really good way to see where you can improve your scores and get over that 600 barrier, is to get a print out at the end of the night and look for the easy spares that you have missed. It's ALOT easier to reach 600 if you are closing every frame. As the guys previously have mentioned, tell the counter guy to shove it.
Better yet, make sure you make him announce it when you do finally reach your goal. Show this cat who is the better man by proving that you have what it takes!
Good luck and all the best!
