VSS Event no.4. in BENDIGO.

Providing you're good enough to make it all the way to the final match, you'll be bowling15 games in one day....

Make the top eight and you're guaranteed a minimum of nine games, as well as a pretty good cash payout.

The qualifying will remain at 6 games..see you all in Bendigo on Sunday!

Wayne

Why not listen to the bowlers who are actually bowling.

I have spoken to Greg tonight and he is happy with the extra games being played for the additional $10.

David

I'm all for Russells idea as well Wayne. It wont cut into the payings, and as Dillan said I think most bowlers would be happier to bowl 8 games for $90 than 6 for $80. It will add another 40min to the day. not that much really.

The tournament qualifying is six games. that's the way I advertised it, and that's the way it will remain.....if anyone else wishes to withdraw because they're unhappy with the amount of games, maybe they shouldn't have signed up in the first place. After all IT HAS ALWAYS been advertised as six games qualifying. Nothing has changed.

As for those who've withdrawn..thank you for letting me know now and not waiting until the day of the event.

While I totally agree with extending the qualifying to 8 games, I also believe that the tournament director has the final say regarding format.

Maybe the problem with the sport is the "Do this or else i'm going to take my bag and balls and play somewhere else" mentallity. I think it's very amusing, so thanks for the entertainment. I don't think the sport thanks you, but whatever, I'm over going out of my way to help rebuild the sport. Bashed my head against a wall for far too long to see some people behave like 2 year olds.

Also maybe if I got maybe just 1 thankyou from every tournament from bowlers, I would have continued to run the series that I started and the formats would have continued similarly to the past? The phrase "Never bite the hand that feeds you" comes to mind.

Anyways, I guess I'll see many of you Sunday. Those I don't see, have a great weekend! :D

Hahahahahaha!

Hi All,

I for one did not pull out because it was only 6 games, I read the entry and decided not to put my name down. 900 kms for possibly a 6 game maximum was not worth it for me personally.

8 may have made a difference but that is not what was advertised.

Good luck to all that do participate.

Also think there could be some discussion every now and the rather than a blunt fullstop comment.

Tough pattern from what I hear so I hope you are all prepared.

Rob

It must suck to have input from bowlers?
mmmmmm! maybe I would have thought an ex-bowler would take into consideration what 'Bowlers' wanted??
Did the poll go the wrong way I wonder? 100% for 8 games, what's that telling you Wayne?:frusty2:

Just a quick comment on the 6 or 8 games qualifying.

Come Sunday morning if the bowlers, who are here vote and want to bowl 8 games Qualifying for a xtra $10.

I,m happy for them to do so, as many of people before have stated, its about bowling on a tough condition and this one is tough..

Well I am definitely coming and would really appreciate the extra 2 games for the small outlay of only $10.00, because if the condition is as tough as you say, then those couple of extra games will give bowlers a chance to line up and select the right equipment.

I don't think I have ever bowled on the advertised "Highway to Hell", so I'm bringing everything I've got.

I think that if someone who goes out of their way to organize & promote a tournament should be praised and supported, so thank you Tonks for your efforts in the past, and thanks Wayne for the effort.

The people who complain most usually haven't tried to organize a tournament themselves.
It's a bloody thankless, hard job, and you can never please everyone, but hopefully the majority.

Hi Wayne, sorry could you please remove Damien Robinson, Work just rang, he is an on call linesman, so no get out of jail card. Sorry again the old man will take the lonely drive looking forward to the hard pattern, see you Sunday.;););)
