I totally agree, if you want to give me a free towel i'm not one to say no. And i'd love a drink after a hard days worth of bowling, seeing if the pattern is what is polled then i'm going to have to learn my lines quick for every lane.

There are 2 spaces now vacant in A squad, due to there being a couple of people travelling from several hours away changing to B Squad.

Lets try to get a few more entries for the event to fill the vacant spots, so we can really generate some good atmosphere during the event!

Wow what a great response we have had with over 70 entries and still counting. I know this is the pilot event and its great to see so much support my only concern and maybe we can look at it in the next event as i am sure there will be one, cutitng the field from 70 down to 6. I know we cant have it all, low entry fee, good payout and a good format but i am just suggesting it could be something we can play with in the future
 
Please add Sumo to the list in A squad if possible otherwise B squad is fine. As for centre I'm a hybrid of Moorabbin, Dandenong and Frankston.

All i can say is WOW! Myself and a few other bowlers went down to epping last night to practice and i must say very nice lanes. The corporate lounge made you feel relaxed and talk about room... you can run a muck in there.
We had great staff last night they openly spoke about what lane condition was layed down with the Kegal and we were also informed that the Chameleon pattern is NOT being laid. they are going to use there own house setting and as far as im concerned i think its great, looks for some high scoring.

Im not sure who advised the house shot will be laid down, but they obviously have nothing to do with the event.

They also don't know alot about lane machines, because Epping uses something better than a Kegel, a Brunswick Authority 22, which is the same machine the pro tour is using atm.

Chameleon will be ran, and there will be a few wednesday nights that people will be able to practise on the pattern for just $15 an hour. I will also try and get some pots running a few nights...

I'm just running off what i was told..... Nothing was made up can nothing got crossed along the line. I typed what they said. Some young guy told us!!!!!!
Doesn't matter anyway, you need to adjust to every condition, and surely the lanes will change after a couple of games. One other thing is i started on lanes 1&2 for 2 games then moved to 3&4 and once i moved to 3&4 i couldn't slide, had to put a sock on the shoe. So those with sore knees better pop your pills if the rest are grippy.

I need to check with Boronia if their bowlers are going to be finished on time to make it for B squad. All signs point to yes, so lets see if it can be done!

Approaches, lanes, machines and players area will all be in premium condition for the tournamnet. Oz-tenpin have been fantastic in communicating with me so far for the event, and have a couple more entries for B squad (they just haven't sent me the names :D

The cutting to top 6 is both handicap and scratch, and the entire stepladder has been donated to us by Oztenpin (more money in the prize fund). Remember, you DON'T need to cut to cash, and there are also high game prizes for more chances to win some money!

Next event we will look at having a quick sprint before the final stepladder, to give bowlers an even bigger oportunity to experience the patterns broken down, yet still keep the game rate down!

The support shown so far has been absolutely awesome, so for that, I personally extend as much thanks as one person can give!

Bring on the 1st of July!
