To all the people who tried out for the vics ,just how long did the day feel ????? ....renta

in a bowling center for 14 hours and only bowling 10 games...

bowl a marathon and in 12 hours you have bowled almost 30 games...

give me the marathon anytime

Well it wasn't to bad after werribee youth cup during matchplay it took 8 hours 2 bowl 16 games so i wasn't to tired during rachuig trials but it was still 2 long.

OMG you have no idea how bad it felt....especially after the "reoil". But it only took us 4 1/2 hours to get home....thanks to Paul and Claire Francis for their help again otherwise it may have been a lot longer...sorry guys hope you managed to get a little sleep at last saturday, i mean sunday morning:( :(

Felt like one of the longest days I've ever spent in a bowl. Ten games with 5 man teams is just a bit much, especially with a 10:30 start (won't comment about the re-oil except to say that it was unfortunate).

BY THE WAY Congrats to all that made the next stage and thanks to all that competed. The spirit in which the trials were bowled made a long, hard day worthwhile

how long was it?
gees i guess i will just say what i am pretty sure 100% of the competitors felt with how this event went from great to just down right comical in the space of a 13 hours that it took to bowl ten games!
i wish to thank all of the bowlers turning up the have our greatest turnout in years and hopefully the events of the afternoon doesn't affect our entries once again for the next ten years?
the lanes went from very straight to absolutely bone dry and everyone who had one in their bag used after lunch which added to everyones dissapointment firstly when they had to have a redraw because someone pulled out?interesting decision firstly then to tell people they can change draws if somone else wanted to?what rules was the committee using make it up as they go?i am sure there are a lot of bowlers who feel like they have been ripped off in the biggest farce in victorian rachuig qualifying since they had selection or even when they stuffed up the lane draw at geelong back in 1999.what is wrong with our state that we cant get it right! this is the best event of the year and always the first one on my calander getting new people to beleive the same thing is hard enough and now we had 49 men to which we will be lucky to 20 next year?i hope you all consider giving it a go again next year but we will all know why we have taken two steps back wont we?feel free to agree or disagree!
cheers

first attempt at it and it was a downright farce, makes it hard to want to try and compete or qualify for it next year. i was told coming into this that it was one of the best tournies of the year but i now find it hard to beleive. it shouldnt have taken so long to bowl 10 games. werribee marathon goes for 24 hrs and we bowl 60 games and yet we bowl 10 games there and bowl for 11 or 12 hrs. hopefully improvements will be made for next years event. after bowling in the afternoon after the "reoil" i wonder how many people are sore?

Well what can I say!
Congrats to the top 16...
Had an absolute shocker myself... but... bring on match play.
Hard to comprehend the events of the day.
Fortunately Rachuig is in Vic next year, so I can't imagine it will effect entries.

P.S. Well done to my hubby, who doesn't have to sit and watch me in the 2nd trials... ;)

Won't say much about the weekend.. except that i hope entries wont suffer because of it. Hopefully they learn from their mistakes
