Vale: Jean Foster

Read in the Mercury today the news that Jean Foster, a long, long time bowler and volunteer and TBT Hall of Famer has passed away in Emerald, Queensland after a long illness at the age of 76.
Jean was a longtime bowler in the old Ball & Chain League down here at Moonah as well as a number of other leagues and was always working as a volunteer at tournaments and on the old STTBA committee.
Jean moved to the warmer climate of outback Queensland to be with family about ten or so years ago due to failing health.

Rest in Peace Jean and thankyou for all you did for the sport of bowling.
You will be sorely missed.

Well put matt I got to know Jean quite well from the ball and chain league, she had the uncanny knack of reading my thoughts when i would miss that 7 pin!! when i turned around to come back off the approach she used to say Dont say it haha. Yes and i worked with jean for a few years when i was on the board of the STTBA. The time and dedication she put into the sport of tenpin is not forgotton
