Trip to NW tas and 2 nights in Launi

Hey there,
I am heading down to the NW of Tas in early Feb, finishing up in Launi for two nights. Now it has been a while since I have been to down town Launi. What are the good pubs there? and places to eat????
Any info would be good. (and the bowling balls are staying home)

Hi Lefty,

Long time - hope you're well!! What is bringing you to our great city?

Depending on what you're after, I'd have to recommend O'Keefes (fits both your questions in my opinion, good pub AND good food!), the Star Bar or if you are after a good old fashioned counter meal, you really can't go past the Commercial for value and good reliable meals. The restaurant/cafes down at the Seaport are good too... it's great sitting back down there on a nice sunny day.

More on the drinking side, I'd say Alchemy, Lloyds, Sporties and of course the Casino. I think that I may be showing my age with some of these choices... haha Scott Summers might be more help - he's more of an alco than I am so gets about more. HAHA.

KC - hmmmm i dont know whether to have a crack at you for trying to make people believe that im an alco .... or congratulate you on being correct! Either way Im gunna slap you next time I see you!

Now, back to the original topic ...... in my humble opinion ... drinking holes would be star bar, irish murphy's or the casino depending on what you after. Eating .... depends ... pub meals best around would be the Inveresk ... but Okeefes and Commercial good as well as Kace says. If you looking a little more upmarket ... definately go for me wah (chinese), theodoti (greek) or navaro's (italian) .... all excellent.
