So where did the AMF for sale posting go?

Andrew S.

Was I dreaming or did I see a post in the main forum announcing the sale of AMF?
Or was this another April 1st job?

Having read and re-read the 'press release' several times, I can only assume that the announcement would surely have been intended for internal rather than for public consumption.

I'm sure you're right about internal distribution only.
Yes, usually found pinned up on the noticeboard in the office.
Must admit I was surprised, given the particular tone of the release used, to see it on here.
Ah well never mind :D

I received a phone call from Graham very early this morning, and he asked me to take it down. I am not sure of the reasons at this time.

I'm sure that if it is anything major, Graham will let you know.

Thankyou for your understanding, and stay tuned.

Wayne posted some information about AMF being sold to Code Hennessy & Simmons LLC.

This post was created in November Last year and until I replied to it could have been found on page 8 in the list of topics that have been posted in this forum. 0X

SNEEZY:

The article in question has absolutely nothing to do with what Wayne posted, or the thread you are refering to.

The release as published on Friday was given to me with permission to publish the release "as is". It was not an internal leak, nor was it a mistake on our part. The release was asked to be removed by AMF early Saturday morning.

AMF

No Wonder AMF is going backwards. They cant make up there mind..... Release it....... no dont release it.......

AMF

Maybe AMF released the wrong message to the forum. Whatever, the news sound great for Australia because if AMF only have to answer to Head Office in Australia that will mean better tournaments and deals for all AMF bowlers...........
