Raiders centre Adam Mogg became the star of Suncorp Stadium last night, by scoring two tries to help Queensland defeat NSW 30-6 and level the State of Origin series at 1-1.

Mogg’s debut in the maroon jumper was a night to remember, as he proved to all of his critics throughout the origin buildup, that Adam Who? is now a name to remember on the Origin stage.

Mogg’s dream debut began when he toppled Blues centre Mark Gasnier into touch after a pin point kick from Maroons halfback Jonathon Thurston, leading to the first Queensland try through Carl Webb and clever play from the Cane toad scrum.

Shortly after Mogg was in for a try of his own after squeezing his way into the corner, by using the size and strength that the Queensland selectors picked him for.

After scoring his second try late in the second half, Mogg became the toast of Suncorp Stadium, and had written himself into Queensland Origin folklore.

Mogg returns to Canberra today to prepare for the Raiders big clash against Melbourne on Sunday, and is expected to be ready to line up against the Storm in his usual number four jumper.

The Storm will also have two of their stars return for duty, with NSW winger Matt King set to line up against Mogg in the centres, and Queensland hooker Cameron Smith set to resume his number nine duties for Melbourne.

Although the Storm’s boom young rookie Greg Inglis will not play on Sunday, he is expected to be fit and ready for Origin three in Melbourne. The quandary for Queensland selectors will be the question of who to leave out, either the young talent Inglis, or the man whose name is on everyone’s lips north of the border.

About time we had some Raiders in the line up.....................

Good on ya Mogg, what a great debut! Such a shame he has signed with Halequins in the U.K Super League for 3 years. He will be sorely missed by Raiders, except for his defence! :)

Poor Wally.... The King being blued up the day before match 2... Mind you that was kinda funny that NSW supporters/vandals would think that would throw QLD off their game
