Price of Petrol

Over here its gone down a whole lot as well...
and I always try to convert it to what it would be costing in Australia.
Near me [hour north of NYC] I get it for about 2.20 a gallon at the moment.
However, just across the border in New Jersey they're getting it for under two bucks a gallon. Say 1.90 ish.
This works out to be around maybe 50c a litre...

50c a litre .... sheesh, i remember paying 60c a litre first year at university ..... 12 years ago! :p

A few months ago when it was 1.87 pr lt l called into a BP and filled up the truck, chipper and 4x4. l went in to pay and the Trainee girl smiled and pushed the total, then she turns to the Manager and says quietly "is that right?" to which the Manager replies "yes that's $468.oo thankyou"
Every cent it comes down is a blessing for me, especially before Christmas.
P.S. Within 10 days l'm back at the servo again! Wish we had Queensland prices!

I thought NJ were getting it cheap...
I just got into New Orleans, Louisiana yesterday and noticed that petrol was as low as $1.60/gal

Jen, try Wichita...

1.51/Gallon and dropping...

People here complain about $2per gallon. I would be ecstatic with those prices.

It was 123.2 around at Caltex Argyle today.
Big feature on the front page of yesterday's paper on how high our petrol prices are compared with the rest of the country's.

$1.12 here south of bunbury
im gonna sound really selfish here
i stopped caring about the price of petrol about 5 months ago when i got my Company Car and Petrol card :D
