New Leagues 2007

Steve,
Working out the figures it would seem that we would get about $48,600 for this league based on 18 teams, which i might add is huge!
Game rate $5.00 = $15.00 per bowler per week
Social fund $ 20.00 per bowler per week
Total social fund for 54 bowlers = 18 Teams x $60.00 = $1080.00 x 45 weeks = $48,600.00
Looking at a Payout for the League I came up with this payout per Team...
  1. 5100
  2. 4500
  3. 3900
  4. 3500
  5. 3300
  6. 3100
  7. 2900
  8. 2700
  9. 2500
  10. 2300
  11. 2200
  12. 2100
  13. 2000
  14. 1900
  15. 1800
  16. 1700
  17. 1600
  18. 1500
Total $48,600.00
Hope that helps...Not sure if i am close to the money or not but looked ok to me.

Jase, I hope it’s not $5.00 game rate, not a good start to try and build a league up on. Surely George and Gloria could shed some light on this; I would guess we will find out at the meeting next Tuesday night. I did hear some big money from the clever coupons is sponsoring the league so Ronnie that second place your eyeing off mate should be huge:p :p :p

Good afternoon all!!!

Glad to see so much interest in this league. I'd like to take this opportunity to advise all bowlers and perspective bowlers that the Clever Coupons meeting will be held next Tuesday (23/01/07) at 7.00pm I would appreciate all bowlers listed above to attend this meeting and any bowlers considering this league.

Proposed prize fund will be posted ASAP.

Thanks in advance

George this is a good prize fund for a $30 dollar a week league, not $35.
After working out the figures George, it would seem that there’s $50, 000 dollars in prize fund. That means $20 dollars a week social fund. George where is the Sponsors money?????????
That means if you win it, you would make $25 dollars profit!!!!
Surely this has to be looked at. A game rate of $5.00 is more than most AMF centers these days. The league at Mt Gravat is looking more worth while, as in value for money.

Just a small REMINDERthat the Clever Coupons Triples
AGM will be held at Aspley Bowl at 7.00p.m. tonight 23rd January 2007.
To ALL BOWLERS all voices COUNT
Thank You
George and Gloria

Dead set, you CANT pay $1800 to last place!

I hope this payout changes a bit at the meeting tonight!

why not??

Even last place pays their dues like everyone else, why shouldn't they get a little bit of a bonus at the end of the year?

hi, some people bowl for enjoyment, some people bowl for money, update if you didnt already know there is no money to be made from bowling but if you think you are good enough try the national circuit where you bowl against the best, money might be there. in leagues without the less talented bowlers there would be no leagues so if you want to give them a pittance i dont think they would bowl, especially when some teams have extremely high average bowlers and other teams just donate. if i have offended anybody great that was my intention. bowl for fun..... joe gatt

Hey Joe,

Good to see you fond the rest of your keyboard…:D It’s about time you bit the bullet and posted on here other than a squad time…You are right, it no news flash, there is NO MONEY TO BE MADE in Ten Pin Bowling…It would take a lot to offend anyone on this site mate…:D I hear they bought in a $2 Swear Jar for that Tuesday night league…I think if I get pinged it’s a guaranteed $4…:D Cant wait to see how much Ronnie will owe it…;) Maybe we could name the Jar…”A Jar of Conquest”...Just not sure if we would be game to open it!…

Maybe we should introduce it at Milton to the Thursday night league; it would be a League sponsored by Scott Fryer to the tune of $5-600 dollars…:D It’s a great idea

Hey Joe,
We all like you a lot more when you just read this site! ;)

We cant accept your teams opinion anymore now that you have pulled out of the league :D

I'm off now to enter the Hawaii ironman, i hear they are giving out Gold Medals to the poor bastard that runs last.

Hey Joe,

That’s gold. Plenty of drinks at the end of year with Ronnie at the swear jar. Also a fine for sweaking shoes, Ronnie's in big trouble.:p
Oh Ronnie, we passed a set guideline for Dress attire for this league. Sorry mate tank tops and board shorts are out mate;) ;)

Yeah pots shots after you pull out of the league, always the way. Hey Ronnie gold medals you say, I thought it was a brand new BMW for running last;) ;)

I can understand why Ronnie's bitching. Between bowling fees and swear jar fees he wont be making any money ;)

Hey Joe,

Good post, you and Jase have hit the nail right on the head!!!

Ronnie we also detailed a clause stating "No puppetry of the peni*", each trick will incur a $2 fine as per the swear jar. You of all people wont be making any money out of this league, even with me in your team :D

I would like thank Gloria and staff with the changes that were made last night, certainly makes for a fairer competition with little chance of people 'managing' their average.

I Also would like to thank Gloria on her tireless effort in getting this league up and running, after the meeting last night its going to be a great league. We are also looking for a couple of more teams so if there is any one looking to join a league and have some great competition, give aspley a ring.

Thanks heap Gloria for all your hard work to get this league up and running. It's good that we can have a league that will be based around fun and competition. Definitely going to be the best league there at Aspley. Also a great committee to lead us through out the year. I do feel bad for the secretary, keeping track of Ronnie’s fine could be an endless job:p :p
