I think that it nice to see some centre come to the party and hold some tournaments at reduced game rates. But even more important would be for fellow bowlers to suport these events not just mouth off. From the listings there were obviously several bowlers who indicated that they would bowl and did not front on the day. That is just the sort of things that puts centre management off running these events, because bowlers just do not seem to appreciate the amount of effort that goes into holding these event regardless if they are minor or major events. I know that EFL firmly believe in giving something back to the bowlers, but it is hard for them to justify this, if the bowlers are not prepared to back them when it counts.
