Junior Country Cup 2004

this topic is bout junior country cup not pickles...
only 7 sleeps to go and there stil hasnt been any more teams posted...if possible can we get some lists of the people bowling from each team??
oh yer quick question: now that bairnsdale is gone, what are those bowlers doing? like last year we had a small preview of the uprising juniors and alex zee was proving to be a great junior bowler...just wondering thats all

Well said alicia.. :D
Who started this pickle crap anyhowz
Check out the Sale team... Im pretty sure Scott Morris was a junior bowler for Sale...Correct me and my apologies if i am in fact wrong. It is a shame if some of these guys have thrown it away due to the apparent travel burden which now applies to them. I remember bowling Junior Country Champs in Ballarat a couple of years ago and Bairnsdale took a bus load down, the majority of which were under 12 years of age and had un-deniable potential. It was such a good junior base and i remember thinking to myself what an unstoppable team these guys would have in the junior ranks in just a few years time...But i guess it wasnt to be? Sad...

Yeah that's right guys, some of Bairnsdale's bowlers have come to bowl in Sale. But the 45 minute travel time has really cut the numbers down. I know exactly what you mean Dan, the Bairnsdale team was always so young, and it was amazing to think how good they would be in a few years time. But sadly, a lot of these juniors have been lost in the system. I'm not sure about Alex, word is he may have quit bowling all together, which really is a shame. And little Tyson Hinton, what a champ!! Hopefully we will see some of these talented kids again some day in years to come.

Hey Everyone, :D
Well, Monday nite, finally wound down, though still overly tired from a huge weekend... :?
Firstly, thank you to Terry and the staff at the Geelong Tenpin Bowl for a no fuss weekend of bowling, no mishaps, ran ahead of time to make sure what is always such a long weekend of bowling any longer than it has to be...
Thanks to all the bowlers who make the weekend what it is. Whether you finish first or last, at the end of the day what counts is that you've gave it your all and had a good time!
To my great buddies from Latrobe, well done guys...
You proved once again to be the benchmark of junior country bowling (or contry wasnt it guyz  ) . That first game after lunch on the sunday was probably the best game of team bowling ive ever been involved in, until the 9th frame when our 1st 2nd and 3rd bowlers all dumped pocket shots for 5-7's and 5-10's, i rekon we had u guys pretty worried....even though we did get smacked 5-1(Thankfully i can vouch for the 1 :p )!
To my team, wow! U guys bowled absolutely great, Such a change to go from finishing beyond mid-field each and every year to being so competitive and being in a winning position (2nd and 4 pts from the top) at the lunch break on the final day, even if we did tire for 4th! It was a pleasure to bowl with u, and look out guys cos that team wont be going anywhere, c u's next year with 12 months more experience and a point to prove once again!
Cant wait guys....Bring on Junior Country Cup 2005!
DaN :p

Junior Country Cup

:p :p :p Cograts to the Latrobe valley Juniors for bringing the shield home again    That makes it three in a row Great effort Katie, Debra, Louise, Bruce, Graham and David.
And special mention to both Wayne Mills and Judy Cloak a great combination for the team the last 3 years. And what makes this WIN even better is that it was won away from Morwell. I believe tha overall record is 5 wins from the last 8 years.
So from all the staff and Management at Morwell Tenpins well done Guys & Gals :D :D :D
