I got bored...

Get a thermometer... however, at the setting I had it on, the water didn't boil, and I could put my hand in it to get the ball out... It was hot, but not "OUCH.. F@$K" hot

I have seen that cook-well device used for so many different things and none of them for cooking.

Plenty use them as the heat source for home made coffee roaters.
