The first place prize money is no longer a guaranteed figure in 2010. It can be reduced due to lower than expected numbers as per the rules and regulations.

The bowling centres are well advised to wait until they have their final numbers on the day before modifying their prize money. Prize money was announced early before another event as numbers changed, and then modified on the weekend as final numbers where confirmed. This caused all sorts of problems with bowlers thinking they had been ripped off.
