The Viper is one that all types of bowlers can generally play their favourite lines. It's named because you can "attack it from any angle"
It is 37 ft, and when laid using the Authority 22 at Epping, produces a medium volume shot that will give you similar angles to a house shot, you just need to be accurate. Scoring can range from medium to high depending on the quality and condition of the lanes, machine and pins.
At Epping, I expect this to the the highest scoring event we have ever had not because the pattern is easy, but because high, medium and low rev players all have a very fair shot at throwing some strikes if they are accurate enough.
I have shot both 300 and 140 on this pattern, depending on how well I bowled on the day
