I would like to recognise and congratulate the Victorian Holt Challenge Steering Committee for doing such a fine job in their recruitment and marketing of this event.

I counted 35 entries for these selection trials, considering the selected team will be travelling to Perth to represent the Victorian zone this is an outstanding effort.

Well done to Jeanette, Graham, Noelene, Aline, Sue, Peter & Steve. My apologies if I missed anyone (I know that I always do).

Interestingly, Rachuig this year is on Victoria soil and these trials only attracted 30 bowlers.

Just goes to show what a bit of event marketing can produce.

Good luck to all in the weekend and I look forward to meeting you all at the 2007 Totalbowling Tenpin Bowling Carnival and Darrell Holt Challenge in September.

I would just like to echo Peter's sentiments. I know how much effort Darrell used to put into marketing any tourny he was involved with.

Also would like to wish everybody good luck for the weekend. Unfortunately I will not be able to even come and watch Jeanette. I have had a really bad reaction to the Tamoxifen and am struggling to recover. I have decided to focus my energy on the qualifying next weekend for Sale's Senior Shield team instead.

However, I plan to kick butt next year.

Again I would like to thank those of you who have sent me PM's. I appreciate your concern and good wishes.
