Bowling gear on a plane

Hey guys got junior nationals in a couple of weeks and was wondering if i am able to take one of my bowling balls on as hand luggage?

Some others would have more recent experience than me but you should be able to take a single or a double tote onboard.

No, you cant. As its a solid object, airport security and the airlines class bowling balls as "weapons". I tried this a couple of years ago.

You can take things like tape, glue, shoes etc on as hand luggage. but obviously not your scissors or bevel knifes.

Ha, can't you see that in the scanner... What's this big round thing (that looks like an old school cartoon bomb) with a funny shape in the middle? And it smells like tequila... Must be explosive!
