Best leagues near Melbourne

Hi All,

I'm new to these boards and Australia, but have bowled for over 20 years in the UK before taking a break in the last 3 years or so. I'm quite likely to be settling in Melbourne in April and want to get back into bowling.

Which are the best standard leagues around Melbourne? Also are there any sport or non-house shot leagues around?

It really depends where you will be located in Melbourne.
Wyncity have a very good sports league on a Tuesday night which is handicap and there is 3 members per team. Change of pattern every 3 weeks.

Most likely going to be living in Southbank, definitely around the CBD so can travel East or West. Ideally i'd rather play on Brunswick pro lane and be in a centre with a good pro shop.

I'll throw my hat in for Wyncity as well, they have a great pro in Adam and what I think is a fantastic new venue too

Wyncity for me too. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and Adam is a fountain of knowledge and drills balls for almost everyone within 50km of the place.
