Ball sanding

Hi.

Has anyone here ever sanded a sparkle ball? Do the sparkly bits still sparkle or do the become grey bits resembling ingrained dirt?

Mongo, do you mean sanding to dull a ball? my mistake , this will dull the shine all over, will start to shine back up with use.

Yeah - I was on the verge of buying a new ball and was thinking into the future and how it would look if I eventually sanded it.

My choices were the Tornado, and a Red/Pink Scout, both at AUD$100. The Tornado was in Royal Blue sparkle (but I don't really like sparkle balls), and the Scout was Red/Pink pearl. The Scout would probably have looked better as a sanded example but in any event I've gone off the idea of buying either this early in my bowling career. I need consistency with my current ball before I go buy something better, even if I do like the colour
