Back when the big storms were happening i was turning into the carpark to catch the train into work (city). Some idiot (who recons he is such a great driver) come flying around the slip lane, hit me on the rear left hand side, pushed the right hand front of my car into the gate pole.

The worse thing was, apart from the fact he was going too fast for the conditions, apart from the fact that I was without a car for 3 weeks, apart from the fact that his little corrolla managed to cause 4500 worth of damage to my 3 month old car;

THE WANKER HAD TO EXPLAIN TO ME AFTER WE BOTH GOT OUT OF THE CAR, THAT HE WAS A RATING A DRIVER, HE WAS SUCH A GREAT DRIVER, HE HAD NEVER CAUSED A CRASH, THE SUN SHINED OUT OF HIS ***.

I hate people......

Hi everyone,

I was in a pretty bad car crash last august on the saturday night of the weekend of youth trials. After bowling on saturday, i went to work saturday night, and was leaving to go home at about 1am. I was stopped at an intersection, and after getting the green light i went to cross over. Little did i know that a drunk driver was about to run a red light, take out my car, and spin me out in to some traffic lights.

It happened just down the road from the cop station so that was a little fortunate, but my car was written off completely.

After being released from hospital at 5am, i backed up 3 hours later to bowl the second day of youth trials. Not the best preperation!

So sad reading your story Adam. Not actually a car crash as such, but back in 2003 i was in a 10 seater school bus crash on the way to Melbourne. It was the scariest moment of my life, because we were travelling at about 110 when we ran off the freeway and it was clear we would hit the concrete culvert ahead of us. There were no seatbelts in the bus, but thank God everyone survived.

The kindest thing i found was the strangers that helped us before the ambulances came. I was unconscious for a while, but i remember a lady who stayed with me and just kept me warm and talked to me. I never knew who she was, but it really did mean the world to me. I got out relatively lightly with some stitches, head injuries and a messed up shoulder. But i just feel so lucky that we all got out alive, because it could have been so much worse. It shows how you have to appreciate everyday, because you never know what's around the corner.

Been pretty fortunate in that way, I've been in a few minor dingles (most of my mates were shockin' drivers) but nothing serious.

One I can recall would be spinning out of control in a TX Gemini on black ice going down a hill about five years ago, we spun out of control, with a massive drop on one side of the road and a cliff face on the other side, we spun round and round and rather luckily hit the cliff face rather than going over the side.
I think I turned 13 shades of white that night.

One time I was really, really lucky about 12 years ago, another mate and I were going to drop his girlfriend at the time off to work in the afternoon and head around to another mate's place.
For some reason I didn't end up going in the car that day (it was too hot or something), and he dropped his girlfriend off and was driving up Davey Street in South Hobart, when a drunk driver in a 4WD ploughed across 4 lanes of traffic and pinned the car from the front passenger side up against the Collegiate School Swimming Pool wall.
The car was a write-off and my mate Rob was almost toast that day. If I had of gone in the car I would have almost certainly have been killed.

Lucky I didn't go :)

I was in a car accident when I was younger, about 4 years old I think it was. Im now 17 this august.
I cant really remember any details except that we got hit from the side at an intersection on Herries Street in Toowoomba.
Im thankful it wasnt the side I was sitting on that got hammered, if it was I probably wouldnt be here today being that young and all.

I was in a car crash when I was about 4 or 5, cant remember exactly what happened but it was no where near a bad as Adam's one was.

I was "illegaly" sitting on the lap of the passenger, (no space anywehre else), when I can't remember what happened but sumhow we ended up wrapped around a telegraph pole.

No-one seriously hurt, but that may be the reason I haven't got my drivers licence yet.
Im 21 this year haven't even look at gettin my L's.

Um about 7 months ago i was in a car crash. My mum had just had her new car 12 months that day (late 03' Ford BA XR8) and we were sitting at a roundabout and this big huge arse 4wd was speeding and couldnt stop and ran right up the back of my mums new car. The car was nearly a ride off. it needed a whole new back end of the car and windows ect. I was already injured from bowling (knee) and i needed quite a few physio treatments, coz the jot of the 4wd hitting the car pushed me fwd and my knee hit the dashboard.
Very painful!

i havent been in a crash, but i have been hit by a car.. walking home from school, police said the traffic light pole saved my life, had to go to court and everything, i did a sommersault in the air apparently... buggered my knee for life and broken collarbone... no bowling for 8 weeks, right when junior shield trials were on, luckily my centre manager was nice / a family friend and i got to qualify when i was ready!
thats the longest ive ever had off bowling too
theres my two cents :)

these are really sad guys.No jen concrete bricks dont count althought i dont really know what ya mean :? .And rowey you got ran over by a bike? :(

I was in car accident 2 years ago it wasn't major but it still hurt a bit. Me and my cousin were driving through sydney after the sydney motorshow and we came to an intersection and we got T-Boned my cousin ended up with a broken leg and 3 broken ribs but i came out a couple of bumps and bruises with a mild concussion so we were in sydney a bit longer than we hoped but i still saw the motorshow.
