Obviously being an Aussie we want George to do great!!

But how about Kelly Kulick, sitting in 11th after 2 rounds. She is a great player and hopefully continues to do well.

Cheers

Steve

Good Luck in the next round George!! would be great to have another Aussie over there representing us...i see Ken Simard bowling there too, Man i love the way that guy bowls!!

'Action' Jackson is solid on the mic too!!!! gotta love his rap on one the Lane1 ball vids

18, Tim Mack, Indianapolis, 3,823

Is it THE Tim Mack??

Why would Tim Mack, (PBA Bowler, 2002 World Champion, Webber 2008 US TEAM CAPTAIN) need to compete in the Pre Tournament Qualification??

Has he not done enough to get PBA exemption??

Because he doesn't have an exemption. The same reason that Jason wasn't exempt before. PBA doesn't hand out free passes for their exemptions. Tim wasn't involved in the PBA with a high enough ranking position when the exemptions came in so he has to earn his spot like everyone else.

Cow

P.S. Go George!

Thanks for the support guys, I managed to cut my thumb in the last few games of day 1 and whilst it didn't hurt yesterday I just couldn't get a solid feel with my thumbhole. I gave away about 100 pins in spares and loose shots because of it, I should of done heaps better than -133. Anyway, 180 of it with 27 games to go is not much. Todays pattern will be better for me. Fingers crossed.

There is a big regional in town this weekend, watch the bowlers pull out after today if they are not near the number :)

;) Sorry I should of qualified my last post; I was being sarcastic.

I was just referring to the fact that Tim Mack IS an AWESOME power bowler and (in my opinion) should be an automatic exemption (just because). He has done a lot for US bowling in the past including captaining the winning US team in the Webber Cup.

I have previously looked up what is needed to become an exempt player and for after a bit of re-searching (not researching) I have again found it;
For those that have not found it though and would like to know, it is as follows :

Q: How can I become an Exempt bowler?
A: HOW DOES A PBA MEMBER BECOME EXEMPT? To earn an exemption on the PBA Tour you bowl and meet the following criteria: 1. Win a Lumber Liquidators PBA Tour event 2. Finish the previous season in the top 40 from the PBA World Point Rankings and those receiving multi-season exemptions. 3. Finish as the leading point earner from one of the PBA’s seven regions 6. Finish as the top non-exempt PBA member from the PBA World Point Rankings 7. The remaining exemptions, up to 10, will be awarded at the PBA Tour Trials

Hope all is well with the thumb George! Carve it up over the next three days!
Break a leg mate!

Well my hand is getting worse, the more bandages I put on my thumb the less I feel the ball. It's so frustrating knowing where to hit and not being able to hit your target like you usually do. Todays pattern wasn't that tough, my -27 should have been at least +100. It's a great experience to be participating, just frustrating knowing you are not giving it your best shot.

Its starting to bunch a little near the top, I don't have much chance now but I'm still going to bowl and try and conquer both patterns. Tim Mack is up there, I hope he gets in, he is really focused this week.

The guy coming 2nd (Cassidy Schaub) is a 2 handed lefty, very impressive to watch and should have fun on tour against the other lefties. Billy Oatman is funny as hell and quite the character, Joe Ciccone can just flat out bowl.

2 more days, hope my thumb stays on :)

75TH place...............it's WALT!!!!

Expect a big last couple of blocks from 'the little ball of hate' Shannon Buchan too

Shame about the thumb,at least you had the guts to give it a shot, maybe you can pull out a 300 the fat ladys not singing yet.......

Keep it up George, invaluable experience and knowledge to gain for next year if this week doesn't work out.
