Rockhampton is proud to host the Inaugural Rockhampton Eliminator on the 26th and 27th of June. This event forms part of the 2010 Wide Bay Series.
Entry form is attached and please leave your squad preference on this thread. Deposits are required to secure your spot and these can be paid by phoning Rockhampton Tenpin Bowl on (07) 4927 1555.
Format is 12 games of qualifying bowled in 2 x 6 game blocks. Matchplay will be double elimination masters style format. Refer to entry form for full details however the schedule is broadly as follows :-
A Squad
Saturday 26th June 7:45am check in for 8am bowl
B Squad
Saturday 26th June 10:45am check in for 11:00 start
A Squad
Saturday 26th June 1:45pm check in for 2:00pm start
B Squad
Saturday 26th June 4:45pm check in for 5:00pm start
Top 16 will be announced at conclusion of B Squad. Top 16 will check in at 7:45am on Sunday 27th June for an 8:00am start. Presentations are expected to be at approx 12 noon.
Flights to Rocky currently start from about $100 but do go on special quite regularly. To save costs if anyone is looking to freight their gear, please contact and I can arrange for receipt at this end. Please PM me. Of course it is always fun to carpool with a few mates and have a good old fashioned road trip - we do this every other month travelling to the rest of the circuit (at least this way you can appreciate what our commitment is to supporting the circuit

If anyone is looking for accomodation, please feel free to message me and I can put you in touch with a motel that suits your budget. Rockhampton has some new 5 star motels on the river or several budget motels - all within a stones throw of the bowl.
Please PM me with any questions, but we look forward to seeing your nomination for the event and having a beer with you up here. I think it is fair to say that your support is needed to ensure that the Circuit stays alive & well, and the best way to do this is by making a short trip north...
June is also the best time of year to visit. Not too hot and anyone from SE corner, it will be one of your only chances to wear shorts during winter. Leave the jacket at home !
