2009 NQ OPEN RESULTS

Congratulations to George Frilingos for winning the NQ Open in a pretty dominant display of bowling from start to finish.

Congratulations also to Angelo Nucifora and Brian Pilkington for their 2nd and 3rd placings.

Congratulations also to Kate Wilton on winning the ladies division

Well done to Lord Vader Ott and all his crew, and all the Burdekin guys and girls for a great tournament and a great time.

Special mention must also go to all the bowlerws who travelled, especially Christian Purdue, Chris Harvey and Dale Stewart who came all the way from NSW. It was great to have you come and bowl (good to catch up for a beer too Christian, even if you are a Manly supporter ).

Just like to say thanks again to Geoff and all his helpers up there. Yet again another great NQ tournament. For those that were not there you missed a great event, even though the mens field was short of a couple of bowlers the prizefund was paid in full!

Congrats to Geoff Ott who put on a great show especially for his first attempt. Geoff was at the bowl all weekend, along with his wife and daughter to ensure everything ran smoothly. Geoff also kicked in a CONSIDERABLE amount of his own money to ensure the prizefund paid out as advertised for which all bowlers were appreciative.

It was also refreshing to see the scoring pace a lot lower than most other NQ events, emphasis on shot making was at a premium. To Helen and the other staff at the bowl, well done on hosting another successful event and thanks Tubby for the score updates.

Look forward to next year already!

Thanks Geoff for a fantastic weekend. The three blues boys will be back next year for sure and hopefully we can entice more fellows to make the trip up to Ayr.
