All 2009 Holt team trials have now been completed and our congrats to all that made the teams.
Today we have been informed that Northern Territory has had sufficient nominations to fill their 2009 Holt teams without the need for a draft selection.
On this basis the 2009 drafts will be selected in the following order:
Restricted Ladies
Western Australia, Tasmania, Western Australia & Western Australia
Restricted Men
Western Australia & Western Australia
Classic Ladies
Western Australia
In accordance with the draft policy, the draft nominations will close at midnight on the 1st May 2009. On the 2nd May 2009 the lists will be distributed to the zone requiring bowlers in the above order. We have been inundated with applications and currently, there are 14 ladies and 42 men on the draft list. Any bowlers who have not already submitted their nomination form should do so by the above deadline.
We would ask that the zones requiring bowlers make their selection(s) quickly. The Holt ExCo will be forming the Fusion Restricted Men, Restricted Ladies and Classic teams via random draw on the 9th May 2009 at the mid-year ExCo meeting.
The Holt National Committee would also like to welcome all bowlers to compete in the 2009 Darrell Holt Tenpin Bowling Carnival, even if you are not successful in the draft or making the Fusion teams. Due to popular demand the Welcome Tournament has been expanded this year into two squads and if this event is filled then a $15,000 prize is possible for this 3 game 5-person teams based tournament.
